Open call for 25 participants from European countries to join Erasmus+ training course "Speak Factor IV" which is organised by "Xeracion" organisation in Vigo, Spain. The project is designed for people who would like to improve their skills in public presentation. co-funded by the European Union through Erasmus+ programme.

About "Xeracion"

Xeracion is a youth organisation based in the north-west of Spain with over 10 years of experience in the development of the international projects such as Erasmus+ projects (youth exchanges and training courses).  They had organised over 20 training courses, youth exchanges on topics that feel relevant for our crew of 57 members.


About the training course 

"Speak Factor" is a 6-day practical training course for youth workers, trainers, volunteering mentors, etc. to get the experience and knowledge needed to improve your public presentations. On Speak Factor, trainers will focus on important aspects of public speaking, offering insights into various techniques beneficial for delivering presentations. The course will cover topics such as stage fright, the different types of communication, body language and much more. You'll practice your pitching skills with supportive critique. Beyond learning public speaking abilities, participants will learn about each other's countries and cultures.

Through an non-formal educational approach and interactive methods, you will acquire skills in:

– Express your thoughts and feelings

– Give and receive constructive feedback

– How to handle your stress when speaking in public

– Understanding body language

– Developing acting abilities

– To use voice, hands and body as tools to improve your pitch

– Improvisation techniques

Project is designed to fit the communication needs of youth workers, leaders and volunteers. 


Eligibility| Who can apply

- Participants must be over 18 years (no max. age limit).

- You a resident in one of the following countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland)

- Able to communicate and work individually and in groups in English.

- Able to join actively all the project sessions and stay the whole duration of the training.

- Youth workers, trainers, youth leaders, youth project managers, youth coaches, and mentors are encouraged to apply. 


Expenses and finance  

- There is no participation fee for this project.

- Participants will be accommodated in double/tripe bed with a private bathroom. the place of the accommodation will be shared with the selected participants.

- Participants will be provided with 3 meals per day plus two coffee breaks.

It is possible to travel 2 days (in total) out of the program, but the project is NOT covering the costs for accommodation & food outside the program.

Your travel costs to and from Spain will be reimbursed according to the distance between your home and the project venue according to the following limits:

  • for travel distance between 10 and 99 km: 23 EUR / person
  • for travel distance between 100 and 499 km: 180 EUR / person
  • for travel distance between 500 and 1999 km: 275 EUR / person
  • for travel distance between 2000 and 2999 km: 360 EUR / person
  • for travel distance between 3000 and 3999 km: 530 EUR / person

  • IMPORTANT: keep all your travel documents! Online boarding passes and tickets for reimbursements. No documents = No reimbursement!
  • IMPORTANT: Please send your travel proposition per e-mail to the organisers and wait for their confirmation before purchasing your tickets!
- Participants will receive a YouthPass certificate after the project where you are expected to self-assess your own learning and you can add it to your CV.


What to bring?

- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the experience.

Personal hygiene products, towels, flip-flops for the shower, Iron, hair dryer and toiletry products.

EU member healthcare card or any other equivalent health insurance (this is not covered by the project).
