Higher Education System in Lithuania

Several universities offer spring intake. Higher education degrees are offered in three cycles:

Bachelor;

Duration of study in Lithuanian universities

Bachelor of Art: 3 years (6 semesters)

Bachelor of Science: 3.5- 4 years ( 7-8 semesters)

Master's Degree: 1 - 2 years (2- 4 semesters)

Long cycle Master's Degree: Long cycle Master's Degree (for Medical Specialities, Psychology and Law) lasts for 5-6 years (10-12 semesters)

for international universities who want to study in Lithuania, you have to submit your application to the university before the following deadline.

Application deadline for Summer Semester: 30 November

Application deadline for Winter Semester: 31 July


Lithuanian universities requirements

For Bachelor's degree

- A certificate of high school education 

- A Transcript of records (statement of grades), incase it's not included in high school certificate

- English language certificate (TOEFL iBT, IELTS, TELC, PTE Academic), the minimum score for each exam differs depends on the university.

- ID / Passport

- CV / Resume

If you need a visa for Lithuania, you will need bank statement showing you have around 5000 EUR as proof of sufficient financial resources to cover the cost of living.

For Master's degrees

- A University degree or equivalent degree from Higher institute (Graduation certificate)

- A Transcript of Recorders for all the years of studying with the grading system.

English language certificate (TOEFL iBT, IELTS, TELC, PTE Academic), the minimum score for each exam differs depends on the university, some universities in Poland can offer online English exam if you don't have English language Certificate. 

- Valid Passport

Tuition fees  for universities in Lithuania

Application fee: Lithuanian universities ask non-refund fee 80- 100 EUR to apply

Tuition fees: Technological sciences, social sciences, Arts, Humanities studies have fees between 2000 - 5000 EUR/ Year depends on the Program and the university, the Medical and health programs (such as medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy) have fees between 8000 -12,000 EUR/year.
