An excellent opportunity for open-minded leaders from all over the world who are aged between 18 and 30 years old to join the Salzburg Global Seminar internship programs for a maximum period of 3 months in Salzburg, Austria. All costs of the return ticket, board, and lodging will be covered by the host organisation "Salzburg Global".
About Salzburg Global Seminar Internship
Salzburg offers several internships in different areas for a maximum period of 3 months. The available internships for the cohort 2027 are as follows:
- Communications Internship
- Development Internship
- Hong Kong Universities Internship
- Library Internship
- Program Internship
For each internship program, there are specific requirements you need to fulfill to apply, and there are also specific typical duties that you need to do when you start the on-site training.
An average day or week schedule will vary depending on the internship (Communications, Library, Development, or Program). It also depends on the number of sessions during the internship and whether any occur during the week. A typical day starts at 09:00 and finishes at 17:00, with a one-hour lunch break with colleagues.
Eligibility | Who can apply?
- You have recently completed or are in the process of completing a Bachelor's degree, with a high interest in one of Salzburg Global’s program areas
- You are passionate about the Salzburg Global Seminar mission
- You possess a proactive, can-do attitude, with the ability to multitask and adapt to flexible working hours based on program requirements
- You have strong writing and communication skills in English, including editing abilities
- You excel in culturally and professionally diverse environments
- German language skills are not required
- You are proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Applications from all countries are eligible to apply, with an age limit of 18-30 years old.
Expenses and Benefits
The internships are full-time and last up to three months. While the position is unpaid, Salzburg Global offers the successful candidates the following:
- Board and lodging at Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg
- A round-trip ticket to and from their home country
- Interns are covered by an accident and health insurance policy purchased by Salzburg Global for the duration of their internship
- Visa processing assistance
- Excellent networking opportunities with international participants in our programs

Please note: Selected applicants will be asked to complete an interview call. All candidates, successful or otherwise, will be informed of the outcome of their application.
