About Poland
Poland, officially Republic of Poland, is a country in central Europe. Poland has borders with Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, and Russia (the Kaliningrad exclave). Poland is a member of the European Union (EU), the Schengen Area, North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), United Nations (UN). The capital city is Warsaw with 1.7 million population. Poland has the seventh largest population in Europe with 38 million population, and the sixth largest in European Union. The official language is Polish and the official currency is zloty (PLN).

Students who are not nationals of EU member countries must also hold a valid residency permit.
- Graduates from Polish universities are eligible to apply for an 9-month temporary residence permit that allows them to find a job in Poland after their graduation.

Higher Education System in Poland
The Higher Education Institutions in Poland are divided into two main groups: state (public) and private (non-public) institutions. These institutions are further divided into two main categories: academic and vocational institutions.
The academic category accommodates the authorisation of at least one scientific or artistic discipline and conferment of scientific category A+, A or B+. The academic institution conducts first-cycle (bachelor’s degree) and second-cycle (master’s degree) studies or long-cycle studies. It may also provide education for doctoral students (PhD) too. Vocational education does not accommodate the same conditions such as that of academic education. It may only provide education on a practical basis. A vocational-type institution conducts first- and second-cycle studies or long-cycle studies.
Duration of study in Polish universities
Bachelor of Art: 3 years (6 semesters)
Bachelor of Science: 3.5- 4 years ( 7-8 semesters)
Master's Degree: 1.5- 2 years (3-4 semesters)
Long cycle Master's Degree: Long cycle Master's Degree (for Medical Specialities, Psychology and Law) lasts for 5-6 years (10-12 semesters)
Application deadline
for international universities who want to study in Poland, you have to submit your application to the university before the following deadline.
Application deadline for Summer Semester: 30 November
Application deadline for Winter Semester: 31 July
Polish universities requirements
For Bachelor's degree
- A certificate of high school education
- A Transcript of records (statement of grades), incase it's not included in high school certificate
- English language certificate (TOEFL iBT, IELTS, TELC, PTE Academic), the minimum score for each exam differs depends on the university.
- ID / Passport
- CV / Resume
- If you need a visa for Poland, you will need bank statement showing you have around 5000 - 6000 EUR as proof of sufficient financial resources to cover the cost of living.
For Master's degrees
- A University degree or equivalent degree from Higher institute (Graduation certificate)
- A Transcript of Recorders for all the years of studying with the grading system.
- English language certificate (TOEFL iBT, IELTS, TELC, PTE Academic), the minimum score for each exam differs depends on the university, some universities in Poland can offer online English exam if you don't have English language Certificate.
- Valid Passport
- CV / Resume

Note: Some universities in Poland ask additional document named "Eligibility statement" which is a a document with confirmation that your high school leaving certificate officially entitles you to enter tertiary (university) education in the country where you graduated from high school, or a Confirmation that your university leaving certificate officially entitles you to enter (post graduate) in the country where you graduated from university.
Tuition fees for universities in Poland
Application fee: Polish universities ask non-refund fee 18-22 EUR to apply
Tuition fees: Technological sciences, social sciences, Arts, Humanities studies have fees between 2000 - 5000 EUR/ Year depends on the Program and the university, the Medical and health programs (such as medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy) have fees between 8000 -12,000 EUR/year.
Service fee: 200 EUR to get acceptance by "Opportunity 4U" in Polish university including all services.
