Erasmus+ Training Course "Nature Connects Mind" in Sicily, Italy (Fully Funded)

An open call for 27 youth workers and youth leaders from 9 countries to attend a 7-day training course "Nature Connects Mind" to emphasize mindfulness and connection with nature as fundamental elements and tools for personal and professional well-being and growth. The training course will take place from October 17 to 25, 2025, in Nebrodi, Sicily, Italy. This training course is organized by "Spazio Etneo" and co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme. 

About the Training Course

"Nature Connects Mind" is a 7-day training course (plus 2 travel days) designed to equip 27 youth workers with practical skills and effective tools to enrich their daily work with young people. The program emphasizes mindfulness and connection with nature as fundamental elements and tools for personal and professional well-being and growth. The main objectives of the training course are:

- The 27 youth workers involved will acquire skills and practices in mindfulness, self-reflection, and environmental awareness. 

- The implementation of mindfulness and environmental awareness techniques will lead to a significant improvement in both the individual and professional well-being of the youth workers.

- The youth workers will be able to promote greater awareness of well-being, environmental, and social issues among young people and within their communities. 

- Creation of Resources and Collaborative Networks: The project will generate best practices and strategies that the youth workers can use and adapt in their work contexts.

Eligibility | Who can apply?

- Youth workers within the 20-40 years age range (according to funding rules and the target group of the proposal by the Italian NA)

- Be a citizen or legal resident in one of the partner countries (Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, the Slovak Republic, Spain, Türkiye)

- Participants with fewer opportunities are most welcome

- Interested in the topic and objectives of the training course, agree to the rules and terms of the project

- Willingness to share and contribute actively to the project, results, and its dissemination

- Experience/work with youth or Erasmus+ projects

- Good level of English

Expenses and Benefits

- There is no participation or accommodation fee.

- Participants will stay at "Antico Casale Il Vignale”, a renovated 18th-century cottage, in triple and quadruple rooms (separate beds and private bathroom).

- The whole venue will be reserved for us, and it includes a meeting room for our activities and a covered swimming pool.

- Keep in mind it’s a rural area immersed in nature, the nearest shop is a 10-minute drive away, so make sure to bring everything you’ll need for the week.

- Travel reimbursements will be made in euros and after the dissemination and all the formalities required, within 3 months. If your travel cost exceeds the budget, you will be reimbursed only up to the following limits:

• Italy: 235€ only Green Travel 
• Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Spain: 259€  (green travel 367€)
• Turkey: 259€ (VISA cost covered till 120€)
• Portugal: 345€ (green travel 485€)

Departure Day: 25th of October 2025

- Each day will include 4 sessions, two of which last 2 hours and two of 1 and a half hours, plus a reflection session of 30 minutes. 

- The sessions are scheduled daily from 9:30 am to 19:30. We will have three meals daily (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and coffee breaks. 

- A detailed Agenda will be provided a few days before the start of the training.

- Your presence for the entire duration of the program is essential and mandatory.
