About UTRIP Internship
The University of Tokyo Research Internship Program (UTRIP) is an intensive summer research program organized by the Graduate School of Science (GSS) at the University of Tokyo. Launched in 2010 to enhance internationalisation, UTRIP invites talented undergraduate students from abroad who are interested in pursuing advanced degrees, such as an M.S. or Ph.D, to join UTRIP for six weeks. The program provides participants with personalized research guidance from renowned faculty across physics, astronomy, chemistry, earth and planetary sciences, and biological sciences.
Open to undergraduates majoring in natural sciences and enrolled in their second year or beyond at non-Japanese universities, UTRIP offers a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research while experiencing Japanese language and culture through short courses and excursions. It serves as a stepping stone for students aiming to pursue graduate studies at the University of Tokyo, offering a glimpse into its academic rigor and vibrant scholarly community.
