Volunteer with " Community Garden for Diversity" Project for 2 weeks in Germany

 "Community Garden for Diversity" is an International work camp organized by "gemeinsam grün " organization in Leipzig, Germany for 2 weeks. The hosting organization will cover all costs for Participants.


Description

A group of 14 participants will support the local association "gemeinsam grün" ("together green") in creating an accessible, educational community garden on 4000 qm. People with different backgrounds, with and without disabilities are welcome to meet and work in the garden to make society more inclusive, diverse and sustainable. For five days a small school class with students with disabilities will join the project in the garden. Tasks and learnings: harvesting fruits and vegetables, cooking, baking, using herbs to make tea, soap or oil, set up beds, doing earthwork, planting, learn about bees, plants and sustainability, wood work.


Finance

- Full board is included.

Participants will be accommodated in modern and comfortable shared apartments

- Each apartment is equipped with a kitchen and a bathroom.

- There is a large area outside that can be used for free time activities. 

-Bicycles can be rented for free. 

- Participants can also cook together in the common area and kitchen

- 5 euro pocket money daily.

- A certificate of attendance.

- Reimbursement of travel Expense.

- Regular Corona test.

- Expense allowance for Group management.


Requirements

 - Age 18 to 30 years.

- From Erasmus+ countries

- Interest in working in an International team.

- Interest in gardening work.

- Openness for topics like Sustainability, Environment, Diversity, Migration, and pedagogy.

- Being able to participate during the entire project.

- Being open for new experience.
