Description

SEAD - Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance is a school about creative work, technical work and intellectual work. "SEAD" was founded in 1993 by American Susan Quinn. Since then, the small dance studio has developed into an internationally acclaimed dance center and education of contemporary dance and choreography. Today, around 100 students from more than 30 countries participate in the SEAD training programs.

SEAD is the home base of Bodhi Projects, its in-house dance company that has successfully performed worldwide. Numerous special events, such as guest presentations by visiting international companies and individuals, and projects as well as a varied program of courses for children and adults alike, invite anyone interested to watch and participate.


tasks of a volunteer at SEAD

- Supporting the academy administration and coordination in their daily tasks in the office. 

- Daily tasks also incur in the organization of the young adults course Program.


Finance and Benefits

- A local standard accommodation ( host family / students dorm / apartment ) is provided.

- All volunteers will receive food money monthly.

- Local transport is provided by host organization.


Training during volunteering

The volunteer will receive training on arrival in addition to mid-term training. The hosting organization will cover all costs.


Duration

A total of 26 weeks from 1/9/2021 to 28/2/2022

Requirements

- Age limit between 18 : 30 years

- Have above-average social Skills and the wish to work in a positively challenging environment are clearly assets.

- English skills are a benefit as it is the main spoken language at SEAD.
