Amazing opportunity to discover Istanbul for one week and learn about the academic, economic and cultural life in Istanbul and visit the most important tourist and archaeological attractions within the city. Youth Istanbul Project will be organized for the fourth time in Türkiye by the members of the Marmara Law Association.
About Youth Istanbul project
Youth Istanbul Project is a one week project for young people from all countries. This project helps young people to get acquainted with the academic and economic life in Istanbul. The participants will also have an opportunity to step into the global world and the professional arena. Participants will enjoy making international friendships with young people from different countries of the world.
By visiting top companies in Istanbul, young people will learn about the major companies that occupy an economic and commercial position in Turkey. The organizers will help you improve your social and cultural skills. All this is in addition to the cultural trips that will be organized in the European side and the Asian side of Istanbul.
About Marmara Law Association
The founding phase of Marmara Law Association was completed in December 2014. The basic principles of Marmara Law Association are teamwork, dignity and development. The first activities of the association were to set up a computer class in Soma (Manisa, Turkey), at Namek Kemal Primary School which was damaged by a major mining accident, and to hold a seminar on the legal dimension of mining accidents. MLA's first international project was Youth Istanbul'18. It was held in April of 2018. Marmara Law Society has been working on the basis of exemplary law education and global agenda since its foundation.
About Istanbul
Istanbul is located in the northwest of the Marmara region in Turkey, and it is divided into two parts separated by the Bosphorus Strait, which makes the city located on two continents at one time: Europe and Asia. It is the largest city in Turkey and the seventh largest city in the world in terms of population, with a population of about 15 million people. Istanbul contains many wonderful tourist places, including: Sultan ahmet District, Hagia Sophia Mosque, Dolmabahce Palace, Galata Tower, Bosphorus Strait, Topkapi Palace and Suleymaniye Mosque.
About YIP Workshop
The academic part of the Youth Istanbul Project will be a workshop which will be organized by Youth Istanbul Case Team. In an international scale there are many companies have an impact on our daily lives variety of topics including the media, technology and environment. We believe that the operations of companies and their legal aspects is worth studying on, in an increasingly globalizied world. Therefore, the YIP’23 will be within the theme of “Law and Business”.
This year participants will have the opportunity to work on different and innovative topics including but not limited to, entrepreneurship, transparency, sustainability and management. Participants will not only spend their time listening to guest lecturers but also participate in the workshops and present their ideas and issues to their home country.
