An exciting opportunity for 30 young people from all over the world who are passionate about the Sustainable Development Goals to apply for the "2025 Sustainable Development Goals Youth Summer Camp," which takes place at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in Seoul, South Korea, from 19 - 21 August 2025. The SDGs Youth Summer Camp is co-organised by the United Nations Office for Sustainable Development (UNOSD), the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea (MoE), and the Korea Environment Corporation (K-eco).
About SDG Youth Summer Camp 2025
The SDGs Youth Summer Camp has been held annually since 2017, empowering over 250 youth leaders to think critically and engage in implementing the SDGs.
This year, the SDGs Youth Summer Camp focuses on the plastic pollution crisis. Participants will be trained to come up with innovative ideas and accelerated solutions to contribute to the resolution of the plastic pollution crisis.
After taking part in the 2025 SDGs Youth Summer Camp, participants will be able to:
1. Communicate on the role of youth in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development;
2. Gain knowledge on the importance of plastics for SDGs achievement and their interlinkages with other SDGs;
3. Understand how to achieve the shift away from plastic pollution through policy and personal action; and
4. Develop their ideas alongside sustainable development experts.
Eligibility | Who can apply?
- Young people from any nationality born between 1997 and 2007.
- Participants have to be proficient in English since it's the main language of the Camp.
- Show interest in the Camp's theme;
- All participants MUST participate in the entire schedule of the summer camp.
- No language certificate in English is required to apply.
Expenses and Benefits
- The organizers of the camp will provide accommodation and meals during the activities from 19-21 August 2025.
- Participants will be accommodated in double or triple rooms.
- The participants must cover their own expenses for transportation to and from the venue of the Camp.
- In case you need a visa to enter the Republic of Korea, the visa costs will not be covered.
