EUSPA Traineeships in Prague, Czech Republic 2023 (Fully Funded)

A unique opportunity for undergraduate students and graduates from EU countries to apply for EUSPA Traineeships in Prague, Czech Republic. there are two different types of traineeships and there are different fields as well.


About the Traineeships

The European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) provides university students and graduates with a unique and first-hand experience of the workings of the EUSPA, in particular, and of the EU institutions in general. Currently, there are two types of traineeships:

(1) Short-term unpaid traineeship to complete and validate mandatory academic requirements (maximum duration three months). 

(2) Regular paid traineeship for 6 months and can be renewed (for maximum duration one year)

EUSPA regularly publishes calls for traineeships for various departments . The eligible applications are evaluated on a regular basis. The starting date of traineeship depends on the Agency’s needs and budget availability. You are advised to submit your application online as soon as possible, the earlier you submit the sooner your application can be considered. there are different fields for the traineeships as follows:-

Finance Department Traineeship

Legal and Procurement Department Traineeship

Security Authority Department Traineeship

Office of the Executive Director Traineeship

Service, System & Security Engineering Traineeship

Traineeship in Communications

Human Resources Department Traineeship

Project Management Office and Quality Traineeship

Information and Communication Technology Traineeship

Facility Management and Logistics Traineeship


Finance and Benefits

- Monthly grant for regular traineeships 1,400 EUR.

Trainees in regular traineeships shall be entitled to reimbursement of the real cost of travel up to the ceiling of 1,200 EUR, subject to budget availability.

The trainee shall be entitled to annual leave of two working days per month during the traineeship. If the traineeship is part-time, this leave shall be pro-rata. 

If an applicant with a recognised disability is selected, he/she shall receive a 50% supplement of the amount of the grant to cover additional costs. The granting of the additional supplement is subject to approval by EUSPA’s Head of Administration and may only be provided upon proper justification. 


Eligibility 

- Be a national of the Member States of the European Union, Iceland or Norway.

Traineeships shall be open to applicants who have not previously undertaken a traineeship in the EUSPA and who meet the following requirements:

- A recognised higher education degree (university education or equivalent) evidencing completion of a full cycle of study, or in the case of candidates who are at the end of their studies, an official attestation from their university or school stating the marks obtained.

- Have interest or knowledge about one or more areas of work of the Agency obtained during their studies/research projects/traineeships or through previous professional experience. 

- possess a thorough knowledge of one official language of the European Union and a satisfactory knowledge of another language of the European Union; one of these languages must be the working language of the Agency (English).

No age limit is imposed on the candidates for traineeships.

Trainees may only start on the 1st of the month. In exceptional cases, trainees can start on the 16th of the month, depending on the decision of the Head of HRM department. 


Selection Process

The Head of Department where the trainee will be allocated nominates the Department’s representatives to carry out the selection of the most suitable candidates. The Department’s representatives perform the selection of trainees on the basis of a detailed screening of the received applications and establish a list. The best suitable candidates may be invited for a phone/video interview which may include other appropriate testing. Engagement for a traineeship will be decided by the Head of Admins.
