ESC Volunteering "On the Path to Solidarity: Football EURO 2024" in Germany (Fully Funded)

Open call for volunteers who would like to do voluntary work in organising "Football EURO 2024" in Germany for one month in Leipzig, Germany. This opportunity is available for all the young people from EU countries and fully funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme of the European Commission.



About European Solidarity Corps

The European Solidarity Corps is an EU funding programme for young people wishing to engage in solidarity activities in a variety of areas. These range from helping the disadvantaged to humanitarian aid, as well as contributing to health and environmental action across the EU and beyond. If you want to volunteer abroad without paying any fee, then you have to search for volunteering program abroad.


About the Volunteering Project

TDM 2000 association in collaboration with UEFA EURO 2024 is calling 20 volunteers from all EU countries to support different activities directed to fans and professionals attending the matches and events in the Host City, the Fan Zone, the International Broadcasting Centre and around the stadium, especially during match days, depending on their skills and motivation. The project aims to enhance the solidarity, active citizenship and participation of young people, also this opportunity allow them working on their personal development and professional skills by supporting with the organisation of a significant athletic event, the EURO 2024 Football Championship, which will take held in Germany during the summer of 2024. 


Areas of the volunteering activities

The areas of the activities include the following:

- Access Management, Accreditation, Anti-Doping, Broadcaster Services, Ceremonies, Concessions & Catering, Driving, Event Transport, Fan welcome & info, Fan zone, Guest management, Protocol, Hospitality production, ICT, Marketing Operations, Media Operations & Services, Signage & logistics, Social Media, Sustainability, Technical services & overlay, Ticketing, Venue Management, Venue Medical Operations, Volunteer Management, and Youth Programs.


Finance and Benefits

The project is funded by European Solidarity Corps program:

- No participation or application fee.

- Food, accommodation, local transportation and guarantees mentoring will be provided by the host organisation. 

- The organisers of the event will provide tickets for local transports, meals on working days and access to the Volunteer Centre/Hub including participation in special events for volunteers of Football EURO 2024.

Each volunteer will receive a pocket money of 5 euro per day, for a total of 150 euros. 

Travel expenses from your home country to project venue will be reimbursed after participation in the project according to the distance between your  travelling place to the volunteering venue as follows:

  • for travel distance between 100 and 499 km: 180 EUR / person, +30 EUR extra for Green travel.
  • for travel distance between 500 and 1999 km: 275 EUR / person, +45 EUR extra for Green travel.
  • for travel distance between 2000 and 2999 km: 360 EUR / person, +50 EUR extra for Green travel.

  • IMPORTANT: Please send your travel proposition per e-mail to the organisers and wait for their confirmation before purchasing your tickets!
- YouthPass Certificate will be granted for all participants at the end of the project.


Eligibility

This volunteering project is available for 20 young people from EU countries and they must be:

- Aged between 18 - 30 years.

- Proficient in English, Knowing German language is a plus.

- Able to attend all the full duration of the project

- Able to follow the online training before the start of the activities

- Motivation to participate and make the difference

- Ability to work in an intercultural team and having flexibility 

- Be Pro-active and communicative

Departure day: 7th of July 2024
