About CAJU Traineeship

Clean Aviation JU plans to host a trainees for 6 months to support the project management unit and to execute its research programme objectives. The trainee will have the chance to:

- Work in a multicultural and multilingual environment, participating in the development of mutual understanding, trust and tolerance.

-  Put into practice knowledge obtained during their studies, especially in their specific areas of competence (Aeronautics, Project management).

- Try and Experience the professional life and its constraints, duties and opportunities.

Gain practical experience and knowledge of the day-to-day work of an EU organisation in an international environment.

Clean Aviation JU, through its official traineeships program hopes to benefit from the input of young passionate graduates, who can give a recent point of view and up-to-date academic knowledge, enhancing the everyday work.


Eligibility | Who can apply for CAJU Traineeship

This traineeship is available for candidates who are:

Nationals of one of the Member States of the EU and enjoy full rights as citizens.

Have a level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma.

Have a very good command of written and spoken English. 

Show a good knowledge of Windows tools such as Word, Excel, Power Point, web based systems. Candidates must provide copies of the diplomas or other relevant certificates.

Tasks and responsibilities of the trainee will depend on the available places within the Joint Undertaking program. Each trainee will have an adviser within the JU, who may be responsible for one trainee only per training period.


Practical conditions

All trainees are awarded a monthly living allowance € 1363.26 net per month.

Recruited trainees may receive a travel allowance by the end of the training, subject to budget availability. Trainees must submit the travel proofs to be eligible for full reimbursement of one trip (train ticket or airplane ticket) to take up duty and one trip at the end of the service.

Disabled trainees may be eligible for a living allowance supplement if appropriate, up to a maximum of 50% of the living allowance.

Trainees should keep the same hours of work (40 hours per week) and have the same official public holidays, if they fall during their traineeship.

Each month, trainees are entitled to two days off. Pro rata to the number of months worked, calculated from the first day of the month, is the entitlement obtained. Unused leave days are not reimbursed.

The Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking does not cover health insurance and trainees must have health insurance one week before the start of the stage period.


Timeline

Interviews and Selection result: February 2024

Start date of the traineeship: 1st March 2024
