EUROCONTROL offers more than 100 opportunity for young people to learn from their experts in their headquarters in Brussels, Belgium and offices in Maastricht, Netherlands; Brétigny, France and Luxembourg. EUROCONTROL offers every year over 100 traineeship opportunities at their four sites, Brussels HQ, the Aviation Learning Centre in Luxembourg, the Upper Area Control Centre in Maastricht and the Innovation hub in Brétigny near Paris. These traineeships addressed to talented and motivated students in higher education instituations and young graduates who are looking for valuable professional experience within one year of completing their studies. EUROCONTROL offers two intakes per year, in April and October, each one for a period of 6 months and the possibility for extensions to up to 12 months.
Traineeships are offered in a wide range of areas of expertise including:

- Legal and Regulatory Affairs
- Human Resources and Administration
Eligibility | Who can apply?
To be eligible for any of these traineeships, you must met with all of the following conditions:
- You must be a national of one of the EUROCONTROL or ECAC Member States.
- You are currently studying at higher education institution (Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD level). If you have graduated, the traineeship must start within one year after your date of graduation.
- The working languages at EUROCONTROL are English and French. To do a traineeship, you will need to have a good command of English (both written and verbal). Knowledge of French is a great asset, but not always mandatory.
- No previous traineeships longer than 6 months at EUROCONTROL.
Expenses and Benefits
- Valuable and strongly marketable work experience ranging from 6 to 12 months with a leading international organisation
- A monthly allowance intended to living costs at traineeship sites of:
- 1,350.00 EUR for trainees based in Brussels and Luxembourg
- 1,613.25 EUR for trainees based in Brétigny
- 1,547.10 EUR for trainees based in Maastricht
- Travel expenses for round trip from your country to the traineeship site will be reimbursed
- Visa costs for non-EU countries who needs visa for staying 6 months will be reimbursed as well
- 2 days off per month
- Up to 50% of online working per month with the approval of your mentor
