About CERN

CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers, is one of the world's largest and most respected centres for scientific research. It's located in Geneva, Switzerland and its primary focus is on particle physics.

At CERN, physicists and engineers use the most extensive and intricate scientific apparatuses worldwide to examine the fundamental elements of matter, known as fundamental particles. These tiny particles are accelerated to near-light speeds and made to collide, offering valuable insights into their interactions and unveiling the underlying principles of nature. Our aim is to push the frontiers of human understanding by exploring the tiniest constituents of our universe.

About CERN's Administrative Student Programme 2025

A globally renowned organsation and a hub of scientific excellence, it's even more rewarding. If you're an undergraduate studying Administration and looking for an internship or a place to complete your final project, you could spend 2 to 12 months at CERN as part of your Bachelor’s or Master’s program. If your university requires or encourages internships for gaining work experience, imagine doing yours at CERN in Geneva.

You could gain experience in various fields, such as translation, human resources, secretarial work, business administration, logistics, law, finance, accounting, library science, engineering management, science communication, education, audiovisual production, public relations, psychology, and auditing, among others. Successful applicants will have the chance to learn in these areas while making valuable contributions.  A CERN panel reviews applications three times a year—in February, June, and October—and around 50 students are typically selected for the program each year.
