This project will be organised by "European Youth Education Center Magdeburg" and funded by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps programme.
About the project
(E)Unity in Action is a short term volunteering project in Magdeburg, Germany which aims to building a more integrated and united Europe. In this project, you’ll play a vital role in supporting European integration and fostering intercultural exchange by linking local vocational schools with partners in your home country, creating new opportunities for young people to secure internships abroad. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to contribute to the youth programs at the European Youth Education Centre by helping to build (and test!) a new recreational facility.
During the project period, Handicraft work will be guided, if necessary. Furthermore, pedagogically supervised opportunities for international exchange, networking and team building are offered. Participants will have the possibility to benefit from the expertise and experience of the pedagogical team as well.
Eligibility | Who can apply?
- This project is looking for young people from EU countries who aged between 18-30 years old.
- Participants must be eager to work and live in a team of 15-20 people.
- Participants should be open-minded, flexible, have a problem- solving attitude, and can work well in teams.
- Volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms with generally four people at the European Youth Educational Centre Magdeburg.
- Volunteers will be given food money to prepare meals with the group, unless the organisation provides the meals.
- Each Volunteer will receive 6 euros per day as a pocket money.
- European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is mandatory to bring with you. Additionally, the volunteers will be insured through Henner insurance scheme. This will be provided for each volunteer by the organisers through Mobility Tool+ portal.
- Your travel expenses will be reimbursed up to a maximum fixed amount as following:
- from 10 - 99 km: 23,00€ (Standard travel)
- from 100 - 499 km: 180,00€ (Standard travel) / 210,00€ (Green travel)
- from 500 - 1999 km: 275,00€ (Standard travel) / 320,00€ (Green travel)
- from 2000 - 2999 km: 360,00€ (Standard travel) / 410,00€ (Green travel)
- from 3000 - 3999 km: 530,00€ (Standard travel) / 610,00€ (Green travel)
- The volunteers will have an option of obtaining a Youthpass certificate by the European Youth Education Center Magdeburg to prove their newly acquired skills & competencies.
