Active Living: Building a Healthy Foundation for Youth | Seminar in Finland (Fully Funded)

An excellent opportunity for youth workers, trainers, and youth leaders from across Europe to join "Active Living: Building a Healthy Foundation for Youth" seminar at the Youth Centre Piispala in Finland from 13-17 April 2025. This seminar aims to bring a maximum of 30 participants from Europe to enhance youth workers’ understanding on the connection of an active lifestyle to a healthy living and holistic wellbeing of the youth. This seminar project is organised by Youth Centre Piispala (Youth NGO) and co-funded by the European Union through Erasmus+ programme.

About the Seminar

This seminar offers youth workers the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the connection between an active lifestyle and the holistic well-being of young people. Through a versatile program that includes hands-on activities and workshops, participants will engage in non-formal learning while reflecting on their personal experiences.

The seminar aims to 

- equip youth workers with practical ways

- promote healthy living, encourage knowledge-sharing of best practices,

- foster cultural exchange among different countries and organizations. 

By exploring the influence of sports and physical activities on youth well-being, participants will gain valuable insights and tools to support both the physical and mental health of young people in their work.


Eligibility | Who can apply?

- People who are working with young people such as Youth workers, trainers, and youth leaders.

- Participants should be aged 18 or above, no maximum age limit.

- Participants should be a legal resident in one of the following countries ( Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, Ukraine. )

Participants should be able to work effectively in English, since it is the language of the Seminar and the activities.

- Participants should be able to participate effectively in all the seminar days.


Expenses and Benefits

- There is no application or participation fee to join this seminar

Participants will be accommodated at Youth Centre Piispala, Finland in shared rooms. There will be two people sharing one room. Each room has a bathroom.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the dining hall by the host organisations. If you have  special dietary needs, you need to inform the organisers in advance.

Travel costs are reimbursed to the participants against travel tickets and receipts. The amount will be calculated based on the travel distance of the participant. Example of maximum amount of travel reimbursement:

  • from 10–99 km -> 23€
  • from 100–499 km -> 180€ (210€ green travel)
  • from 500–1999 km -> 275€ (320€ green travel)
  • from 2000–2999 km -> 360€ (410€ green travel)
