An open call for young people from Europe to join the exciting ESC Volunteering Team Project "The Soup Festival Work-camp" and contribute to the organising of this unique festival in Rome, Italy from 1st to 16th of April 2025. This volunteering project is organised by "International Civil Service APS" and funded by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps program.
About the volunteering project
As a volunteer, you will help organise this special festival, where communities unite to share culinary traditions, foster intercultural dialogue, and celebrate diversity through food. The Soup Festival Workcamp is an ESC Volunteering Team project, funded by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps program. Its aim is to assist in organising the festival, which will be held in Rome from April 1st to 16th, 2025.
Activities:
- Assisting in setting up and managing indoor and outdoor festival spaces.
- Helping with the preparation and execution of the Soup Festival 2025 (working at the bar, cash desks, cooking, etc.).
- Supporting the promotion of the festival.
- Cleaning and organising the venue after the festival concludes.
- Having the opportunity to create creative content from the event, such as videos, photos, interviews, or podcasts.
- Participating in practical tasks at La Città dell’Utopia, including gardening and cleaning.
Eligibility | Who can apply?
- Applicants must be aged between 18 to 30 years old.
- Being resident in one of the eligible countries: From European Union programme countries and third countries associated with the European Solidarity Corps Program Zone 1: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro.
- Interest in food culture Group working skills Interest in organising and creating events Artistic and manual skills Motivation for cooking and gardening Basic cooking skills.
- Ability to participate actively in the whole duration of the project.
Expenses and Benefits
- Accommodation will be provided in the hostel of "La Città dell'Utopia." Volunteers will share a room and two bathrooms. Sheets and blankets are provided, but volunteers should bring their own towels.
- The project is funded by the European Solidarity Corps program, covering Food and pocket money for each participant.
- Travel cost reimbursement (one return journey) up to the maximum cost as stated in the ESC programme rules according to the following limits;
- from 10 - 99 km: 28,00€ (Standard travel) / 56,00€ (Green travel)
- from 100 - 499 km: 211,00€ (Standard travel) / 285,00€ (Green travel)
- from 500 - 1999 km: 309,00€ (Standard travel) / 417€ (Green travel)
- from 2000 - 2999 km: 396,00€ (Standard travel) / 535€ (Green travel)
- Volunteers are entitled to receive a youthpass certificate for their participation in the ESC Volunteering project.
