ESMH Summer School 2025 in Brussels, Belgium (Fully Funded)

An exciting opportunity for 80 Journalists, communication specialists, researchers and policymakers from European Union countries to join the "2025 Summer School on science communication in the digital age" on 24-26 June 2025 at the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium. ESMH Summer School 2025 is organised and funded by The European Science-Media Hub (ESMH) of the European Parliament. 

About the European Science-Media Hub

The European Science-Media Hub (ESMH) of the European Parliament conducts training sessions for journalists on scientific and technological advancements. Established in 2018, the ESMH aims to foster the exchange of knowledge and perspectives among researchers, policymakers, and the media. It supports journalists covering science and technology by offering improved access to reliable sources, specialised workshops, and training programs.

About the ESMH Summer School

The European Science-Media Hub (ESMH) of the European Parliament is hosting a Summer School in Brussels from 24 to 26 June 2025, focusing on the opportunities and challenges of digital science communication.

This three-day event will feature workshops, panel discussions, and training sessions led by experienced journalists, communication experts, researchers, and policymakers. Participants will gain practical insights into using digital tools to communicate science effectively and engage audiences. The program will also cover communication trends, best practices for journalists, and strategies for navigating the complexities of science communication.

Eligibility | Who can apply?

- EU Citizens aged between 18 -39 years old 

- Be fluent in both written and spoken English

- Applicants must have experience in journalism or media production

- have a passion for science communication 

Up to 80 journalists and content creators will be selected and invited to the ESMH Summer School in Brussels.

Expenses and Benefits

The ESMH will offer financial support to cover travel and accommodation expenses for selected journalists attending the 2025 Summer School, subject to specific conditions and eligibility criteria.
