Malabis Share | Two-week ESC Volunteering Project in Morocco (Fully Funded)

An open call for volunteers from European countries, Tunisia and Morocco to join the ESC Volunteering project "Malabis Share – Clothes for Dignity" which takes place in Tetouan/Martil, Morocco, empowering communities through sustainable clothing exchange. This volunteering project is organised by "Volunteer in Morocco" association and funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme of the European Union. 


About the Volunteering

"Malabis Share – Clothing with Dignity", a 17-day volunteer initiative starts from 18 April to 4 May 2025 in Tetouan/Martil, Morocco, aiming to empowering communities through a sustainable clothing sharing. Volunteers will collect, repair, and share donated clothes via pop-up clothing banks, giving underserved families the opportunity to choose outfits with dignity. This project combines sustainability with social impact by reducing textile waste and fostering cultural exchange. Activities include up-cycling workshops, community art, and a fashion show. It's an interesting opportunity to help the local communities in Morocco and get to know more about the Moroccan culture.


Eligibility | Who can apply?

- International volunteers aged between 18-30 years old;

- Volunteers must be a legal residents in one of the following countries: Aruba, Austria, Belgium, Bonaire Sint Eustatius and Saba, Bulgaria, Croatia, Curaçao, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Morocco, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Tunisia, Türkiye.

- Volunteers should be passionate about sustainability, fashion, and social justice. No prior experience needed - just an open mind and teamwork spirit!

- Basic level in English is helpful for communication, but it isn't mandatory to apply - what matters most is your willing to learn, connect, and embrace Morocco’s natural beauty and vibrant culture.


Expenses and Benefits

The project is funded by the European Solidarity Corps program of the European Union and Includes;

- Volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms (5-6 per room), equipped with mattresses, blankets, and pillows. Shared bathrooms are available in line with local facilities.

Although on-site laundry and internet services are unavailable, participants can access nearby laundromats and internet facilities. 

- A daily meal allowance of €3 is provided, or volunteers can opt for three vegan meals per day. 

- Tap water is safe to drink, and to support sustainability, bottled water will not be supplied.

Travel cost reimbursement (one return journey) up to the maximum cost as stated in the ESC programme rules according to the following limits;

  • from 10 - 99 km: 28,00€ (Standard travel) / 56,00€ (Green travel)
  • from 100 - 499 km: 211,00€ (Standard travel)  / 285,00€ (Green travel)
  • from 500 - 1999 km: 309,00€ (Standard travel) / 417€ (Green travel)
  • from 2000 - 2999 km: 396,00€ (Standard travel) / 535€ (Green travel)
Volunteers are entitled to receive a youthpass certificate for their participation in the ESC Volunteering project.
