Are you a young person looking for an intercultural exchange adventure this summer 2025? If so, it's your opportunity to apply for the short-term ESC Volunteering project "Solidarity & Inclusion - Communities Cup III" in Torino, Italy, from the 4th of June to the 2nd of July 2025. This project was implemented by Giosef Torino in collaboration with its local partner Balon Mundial and focuses on inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and sport. This project will involve 20 participants from different European Countries, and all the costs will be funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme of the European Union.

About the Volunteering Project

Giosef Torino, in collaboration with its local partner Balon Mundial, is organising a dynamic Volunteering Teams project this summer in Turin, Italy, focusing on Inclusion, Intercultural Dialogue, and Sport. This exciting initiative will bring together 20 international and Italian participants for a rich and meaningful cultural exchange.

The project aims to:

- Foster intercultural exchange with an intersectional approach to identity, enabling young people from diverse backgrounds to connect, learn, and grow together.

- Raise awareness on important themes such as social inclusion, solidarity, diversity, and the fight against discrimination through intercultural dialogue and sports.

- Celebrate the cultural richness of the communities represented in Torino by promoting interaction through football, food, dance, and music.

- Inspire future youth-led cooperation initiatives, encouraging participants to take an active role in shaping inclusive communities.

- This is more than just a volunteering experience. It’s a platform for youth empowerment, cultural celebration, and building a more united Europe through action and understanding.


Project Activities

Balon Mundial: the World Cup of migrant communities. Built with the same format as the FIFA World Cup, the cup provides for the free participation of teams made up of migrants from the same nation residing in Turin. The tournament will be divided into three categories;

Women's 5-a-side

Men's 5-a-side

The idea is to create a unique space in Turin of bringing together migrants and residents, their histories, cultures, music, and food to create new relationships capable of overcoming the prejudices at the basis of all forms of discrimination and to build a cohesive society together and full of diversity.

Nonformal education Workshops and activities on the project’s topics, such as: Identity, Culture, Intercultural Dialogue, Inclusion, Solidarity, Fight against all forms of discrimination, etc.

Educational activities through sport at Cecchi Point, a social centre attended by young people of different ages. Volunteers will be able to organise or create educational and integration activities through sport. In a large space, outdoors, and with a large number of young people who will want to participate in them.


Eligibility| Who can apply?

- Motivated young people aged between 18 and 30 from one of the following countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden)

willing to share an experience of volunteering with other young people coming from different countries

Ready to commit to the project for its entire duration.

- Knowing English and/or Italian is a plus, but not mandatory to apply.


Expenses and Benefits

As a part of the European Solidarity Corps programme, the volunteers are provided with international travel costs, food, pocket money, and accommodation in Turin, Italy

- Volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms in a fully equipped apartment with access to the internet.

- Each participant will receive food and Pocket money of 420 euros for food and personal expenses during the activity. 

Bus tickets and/or a bike will be provided for local transportation in Turin.

- All volunteers will receive Henner health insurance alongside their European Health Insurance card if they have.

Travel costs are reimbursed to the participants against travel tickets and receipts. The amount will be calculated based on the participant's travel distance. Example of the maximum amount of travel reimbursement:

  • from 100 – 499 km - 285 EUR (Green Travel)/ 211 EUR (Non-Green Travel)
  • from 500 – 1999 km - 417 EUR (Green Travel)/ 309 EUR (Non-Green Travel)
  • from 2000 – 2999 km - 535 EUR (Green Travel)/ 395 EUR (Non-Green Travel)
  • from 3000 – 3999 km - 785 EUR (Green Travel)/ 580 EUR (Non-Green Travel)
- A lot of fun and a good summer time with international people.

- Volunteers are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate after finishing the volunteering project.
