An exciting opportunity for young people from all over the world to apply for the annual training program "LOCALINTERNational 2025", which will take place in Turkiye this year from 31 August to 7 September 2025. The program aims to provide international training for future local leaders. The training program is organized and funded by the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye.
About the Program
LOCALINTERNational (International Local Authorities Training Program) is an international initiative organized annually since 2012 by the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye. It offers foreign university students and recent graduates a chance to gain insight into the fundamentals of Turkish local governance through real-life municipal examples, hands-on field visits, and social activities.
Like in previous editions, the program will include training sessions, site visits, and cultural events aimed at preparing future local leaders. The Union of Municipalities of Türkiye is excited to welcome promising young participants and offer them a valuable experience in local governance.

- Effective Urban Planning Elements in Local Governments
- International Networks and Collaborations
Eligibility| Who can apply?
- International students and recent graduates;
- Participants from all nationalities are eligible to apply, especially from European, Asian, and Middle Eastern countries.
- Have a Good command of the English language ( No need for English Certificate)
Note: Participants will be selected based on criteria such as English language proficiency, academic success, and international experience.
Expenses and Benefits
All expenses will be covered by the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye, including the following;
- Travel Expenses from your country to Türkiye and back.
- Visa expenses to enter Turkiye if needed.
- Free accommodation and meals for all participants.
- Field visits and social-cultural activities for future local leaders.
