EmpowerYouth Forum 2025 in Sweden (Fully Funded)

An exciting opportunity for 30 youth workers and youth activists from across Europe who are looking to exchange best practices, explore the Swedish context of youth work, and strengthen inclusive engagement to apply for "EmpowerYouth Forum: Bringing Change to Communities". The forum takes place in Sandviken, Gävle, Sweden, from 10-14 November 2025. The forum is organized by "Rapatac Activity Center" and funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme.

About the Forum

EmpowerYouth Forum is a unique gathering of passionate youth workers and leaders across Europe. Over the four days in Sandviken and Gävle (Sweden), you will join 30 representatives from the European community of youth workers led by Rapatac on an inspiring learning journey dedicated to sharing ideas, learning new approaches, and building lasting partnerships.

The EmpowerYouth Forum is designed for youth organizations and youth workers across Europe. This includes activity centers, youth centers, and NGOs engaged in supporting and empowering children and young people.

Bringing together professionals and volunteers active in youth work, the forum offers a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen practical skills, and build lasting partnerships. By sharing innovative methods and tools, the forum supports participants in enhancing the impact of their daily work and developing meaningful, community-based youth engagement initiatives.

Aims of the Forum

The Empower Youth Forum aims to:

• Foster networking and collaboration between youth workers and organizations from different European contexts
• Promote professional development through practical tools and non-formal learning approaches
• Share good practices in inclusive and sustainable youth engagement
• Strengthen the community-based impact of youth work at the local level
• Contribute to the development of youth work across Europe through cooperation and shared learning

Eligibility | Who can apply?

- Applications are open for youth workers from Erasmus+ Youth Programme countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye)

- This training is targeted at:

• Youth workers and trainers active in non-formal learning
• Staff and volunteers of youth organizations, activity centers, and NGOs
• Professionals working directly with young people
• Those interested in strengthening their competence in inclusive, community-based, and sustainable youth work

- Applicants must be able to speak and communicate effectively in English.

Expenses and Benefits

- There is no participation fee for this training activity.

- Housing and breakfast are arranged for you within walking distance of the training venue. You will stay in a shared room with one other participant. Bed linen and towels are provided.

- Travel costs are covered based on the distance between the participant's place of origin and the activity venue, according to the Erasmus+ distance band calculator.

• from 500–1,999 km - €309 / €417
• from 2,000–2,999 km - €395 / €535
• from 3,000–3,999 km - €580 / €785

• from 8,000 km or more - €1,735 / €1,735

Note: Green travel refers to the use of low-emission means of transport, such as bus, train, or carpooling for the majority of the journey, instead of flying. Participants who choose green travel may be eligible for the higher reimbursement rate indicated in the table above.
