About the Volunteering Project

Assalam Community Foundation (ACF) in Zanzibar is calling volunteers from across Europe to support education, community outreach, and permaculture activities in underserved communities around Zanzibar.

Volunteers contribute to educational programs for children and youth, vocational training for women, environmental actions, and cultural exchange initiatives. Activities include teaching and facilitating workshops in science, arts, sports, leadership, and entrepreneurship, supporting permaculture gardens, tree planting, beach cleaning, and food aid. Volunteers work at ACF’s campus in Kizimkazi and through outreach programs across Zanzibar, reaching children, youth, women, and orphans in remote villages.

The project promotes peace, sustainability, empowerment, and social inclusion, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
