Go Alive organisation is calling young people to join its ESC Volunteering Teams Program for K Youth Fest 2026, in Kozani & Katerini, in Western and Central Macedonia, in northern Greece, a place rich in culture, history, and natural beauty. The main theme/goals for the volunteering projects are:-
- Empowering Young Changemakers
- Promoting solidarity, Respect for Human Dignity, Human Rights, and mutual understanding.
- Building an inclusive and united community.
- Encouraging non-formal learning and skills development.
- Fostering well-being and mental Health awareness.
The volunteers for the K Youth Fest 2026 will be divided into 5 distinct sub-teams based on their tasks:
I-team: Information Team – Welcomes guests in the reception, provides information, and manages help desks
A-team: Activities Team – Supports facilitators, prepares materials, and assists in interactive sessions
T-team: Technical Support Team – Manages sound, lighting, and troubleshooting for technical needs
C-team: Communication Team – Handles social media, photography, videography, and live updates
L- Team: Logistics Team – Sets up and decorates spaces, organises materials, and ensures venue functionality

Eligibility | Who can apply?
- Participants should be aged 18-30 years old,
- Coming from all EU countries, non-EU programme countries, and partner countries neighbouring the EU, INCLUDING Greek participants,
- Ideal minimum level of English B1,
- Motivated and inspired by the ESC program ethics,
- Passionate about youth empowerment and cultural exchange,
- Open-minded, adaptable, and ready to embrace new experiences.
Expenses and Benefits
- For the first part of the project, the volunteers will stay in the hotel “Elimeia 3” in Eani, appoximately 25min away from Kozani. The volunteers will stay in Eani for 12 nights, from Thursday 30/4/26 until Tuesday 12/5/26. They will be moving to Kozani using local buses when it is needed (probably around 5-6 times in total, for which they are expected to use their pocket money).
On Tuesday, 12/5/26, the volunteers will be transferred to Katerini, where they will stay for the remaining 4 nights until Saturday, 16/5/26. The accommodation in Katerini will be announced soon.
- Participants will be accommodated in double/triple rooms with a bathroom (towels included). Accommodation and full board meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are covered by the organisers.
- The volunteering program will provide you with 3 meals per day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The meals will be balanced and based on traditional Greek cuisine, so you will have the opportunity to try moussaka, pastitsio, souvlaki, etc.
- You will be asked to use local public transportation approximately 5-6 times during your stay in Eani to move to Kozani. The cost is around 5€ both ways each time (meaning a maximum of 30€ in total), and you should cover this cost from the pocket money that you will receive.
- The volunteers have insurance during their stay in Greece through the European Solidarity Corps. After they accept the offer from the page, they receive an email from Henner Insurance.
- Travel cost reimbursement (one return journey) up to the maximum cost as stated in the ESC programme rules according to the following limits;
- from 100 - 499 km: 211,00€
- from 500 - 1999 km: 309,00€
- from 2000 - 2999 km: 395,00€
- from 3000 - 3999 km: 580,00€
- from 4000 - 7999 km: 1188€
- more than 8000 km: 1735€
- These are the maximum amounts. Before buying your flight tickets, you have to confirm it with the organisers. Volunteers are advised to take a plane to Thessaloniki or Athens Airport. Afterwards, they have to take a bus to Kozani and then to Eani village.
