Volunteer with " Top Of Potentials" project for 3 weeks in Croatia

Top Of Potentials is a European Solidarity Corps Volunteering teams project that will take place in Omanovac, Croatia. you’ll be planning a three-day event for the local community whilst having lots of fun and learning about Croatian culture.

Description

The project is open to people who have already done a short-term or long-term volunteering (ESC / Erasmus +). There will be a balance of learning time, working time and personal time and each participant will contribute and be given the chance to be a part of organizing the content for the summer festival, promote the project and implement activities. You can create workshops in one of these 3 categories: Sports & Wellbeing, Education, Art & Culture. After you go back home you will be equipped with knowledge and skills to organize similar events and take part in the life of your local community.

Your tasks as a volunteer include:

- Develop your talents and organize a three-day summer festival in Omanovac

- Bond with the locals, learn about their lifestyle and live with 12 volunteers from different countries

- Learn how Croatians live and how to help the local community through civic engagement.

- To create a workshop in one of the following categories: sport and wellbeing, education, or art and culture.

- Organize content for the summer festival, promote the project and implement activities.

Project Location

Omanovac, village on top of a mountain with beautiful nature. It's a 2-hour drive from Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia.

Finance and Benefits

- Accommodation is fully covered by the project. There are pillow cases and bed linens. There are free for you to use them, you don’t have to bring anything.

- You will be accommodated in a mountain home it has the capacity of 45 beds.

- You will be staying in rooms 3-4 beds, same gender and mixed nationalities.

- There is a total of 4 showers and 6 toilets in the entire mountain home. 

- There is a seminar room and a big dining room, a kitchen with all basic appliances. It is a rustic style mountain home, nothing fancy but cozy immersed in nature with basic amenities and very nice staff.

-  Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided by the venue. During your free days you will receive food money in the amount of 40€ (7€ per day)

- Your traveling costs are fully covered up to 250 euro for Spain, Italy, Greece, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Germany, The Republic of North Macedonia, Malta Estonia, 335 euros for Portugal and 155 euros for Austria.

- You will get 115 euros for 23 days (21 activity days + 2 travel days) based on the European Solidarity Corps guide (5 euro per day).

- Covid test – the project covers up to 100 euros per participant (if the covid test will be needed to enter the country).

A total of 23 days from 10/8/2021 to 1/9/2021 

Requirements

- Aged from 18 to 30 years

- Resident of Spain, Italy, Greece, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Estonia, Germany, Portugal, The Republic of North Macedonia, Malta, Austria.

- Motivated to help the community

- Teamwork is his/hers cup of tea

- Likes physical work

- Motivated to learn and gain new experiences and skills

- Easy to communicate with, flexible and responsible

- Eager to learn, tolerant and open-minded
