About IMORA Association
The association IMORA (International Movement back to Origins in Rural Area) is a non profit organization, located in Plasenzuela, Spain. The association intends to create a living space for coexistence and learning where various activities can be developed, based on the principles of sustainable agriculture, such as the care and development of the garden and food forests, the care of farm animals and pets, handicrafts and crafts and workshops.
The association believes that cooperation and training through practical activities with young people in the rural environment promotes self-sufficiency, personal development, favors a healthy environment, sustainable life, besides giving them the possibility to turn it into a future business or Creative leisure.
Project Location
The project is developed in a rural area in the country estate "La Jarilla", 1 kilometer from the village of Plasenzuela, in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, Spain. Plasenzuela is located on the Trujillo-Cáceres plateau at about 487 m altitude, with a continental Mediterranean climate, cold winters and hot summers. The vegetation is typical of the region of Extremadura, big holm oaks and Mediterranean forests. In the mountains we can find cork oaks, gall oaks, lavender, etc. The flora is very rich and varied since we are in the vicinity of the Monfragüe National Park, of great international importance at the ornithological level.
About the Project
The association is looking for 12 volunteers to participate with them in the "NATURAL RHYTHM, team I" project for 16 days and the participants must have an interest in sustainable agriculture, sustainable lifestyle and the environment and its preservation. The project activities will include the following:-
-The theory of sustainable agriculture
- Maintaining organic gardens and food forests according to the principles of sustainable agriculture
- Homemade crafts
- Farm Animals Care - Recycling Activities
- Construction activities based on bio-building standards
- Other environmental activities.
In the spare time volunteers are encouraged to explore the area and all its possibilities from hiking, rock climbing, bird watching, exploring nearby historical cities (Trujillo, Cáceres, Mérida), as well as enjoying the opportunities offered by the
village of Plasenzuela.
Finance and Benefits
- Host organisation will provide accommodation for the volunteers in a hostel, shared rooms with own bathroom and shower.
- The hostel is fully furnished and has everything needed to ensure an adequate accommodation kitchen utensils, towels and blankets.
- Food and international transport will be covered by host organization.
- No need for local transport during the project, activities will be in the same place.
- Free WiFi access in the main building.
Training during Project
Volunteers will be offered training sessions to help them perform the required tasks without being at risk. Monitoring and preparation of volunteers will be provided by teachers or responsible for activities.
Eligibility
- You are between 18 - 30 years old.
- You are a resident in one of EU countries or Ukraine.
- Have a willing to participate in the carrying out of different activities in the rural environment.
- Have a passion for nature and interest in the development of a sustainable rural environment.
- Able to live with other people from different cultures.

A total of 16 days from 11/03/2022 to 26/03/2022
