Odyssey Residences 2022 for all cultural sectors in France 2022 (Fully Funded)

If you are passionate about culture and cultural sectors such as literature, music, performing arts, theatrical writing, animation, photography, journalism, architecture, handicrafts and other cultural sectors, we invite you to apply for the Odyssey programme for residency in France. This programme is funded by French Ministry of Culture.


About Odyssey Programme

The Odyssey 2022 residencies is a program for foreign artists from around the world. The Odyssey supports residencies for artists, researchers and professionals who do not reside in France and who wish to develop projects within the network of cultural meeting centres. The Odyssey program is organised by the Association for Cultural Meeting Centres (CCR), which are venues built around an artistic, cultural and intellectual project in synergy with the major heritage site where they are located. More than 700 artists from over 79 different countries have taken part in the program in previous editions, developing projects in different areas such as music, architecture, arts and crafts, visual arts, dramatic writing, novel writing, script writing, animated film-making, photography and journalism

The programme covers all cultural sectors as shown above For applications for residence in the fields of cultural management and the development of cultural networks, there is no need to choose a JRC, simply indicate on the form the professional association (ACCR).


Finance and Benefits

- No application or Participation fee.

Travel expenses will be reimbursed up to an amount based on the travel required and supporting documentation ( Save your tickets for travel reimbursement )

Visa applications and fees will be covered by the Programme.

Accommodation and meals are offered by the cultural meeting centre where the selected candidate performs his residency.

- All selected participants will be awarded a residency grant of 1200 euro per month for a period of 1 to 6 months.

- Residents shall also benefit from the provision of technical means for carrying out their residence project.


Eligibility

- No age limit.

- All Participants from outside France are eligible to apply.

For applications for residencies in the artistic and cultural fields, applicants must propose projects related to the purpose of the selected French Cultural Meeting Centres (CCR). Up to 3 different centres can be selected as accommodation.

- For applications for residency in the areas of cultural management and development of cultural networks, there is no need to choose a joint research centres, just indicate on the form the chosen meeting centre (ACCR).


Required Documents

- Your Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume

- A photocopy of your Passport or Identity Card.

- A Cover letter

- A Recommendation letter 

- Proof of residence (electricity bill, telephone bill, gas bill, etc.)

- A  portfolio of works or links to the recording of musical or theatrical works etc.

The project that it is proposed to implement during the period of stay, according to the specific activity and project of the chosen centre.

Note: All documents and attachments should be in English OR French


Timeline

Deadline: Application Deadline is 15th of March 2022

Selection: Selection process will be by the end of April 2022

Resultssending answers to candidates and publishing a list online will be between May-June 2022

Programmeresidency development period will be from Fall 2022 to Summer 2023
