About the project

ARTinclusive is a short- term volunteering project will take place in Luxembourg for 2 weeks in October 2023. the project aims to present young people with a variety of viewpoints, motivation, and information on important topics such as human rights, social inclusion, and participation.

The project aims to change mindsets and create inclusive social platforms for young people through the medium of art, including theatre, cinema, and music. To raise awareness on how to use theatre and performance arts in general as artistic tools, particularly when working with and for young people on human rights and related topics such as social inclusion, participation, and diversity, through the preparation and implementation of four public performances and an exhibition.


About European Solidarity Corps

The European Solidarity Corps is an EU funding programme for young people wishing to engage in solidarity activities in a variety of areas. These range from helping the disadvantaged to humanitarian aid, as well as contributing to health and environmental action across the EU and beyond. If you want to volunteer abroad without paying any fee, then you have to search for volunteering program abroad.


Finance and Benefits

The project is fully covered by European Solidarity Corps program and includes:

-  The accommodation for the volunteers will be in "The Chalet of the 'BLUE LIONS'" which is situated in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie. the accommodation venue is about just 1.5 km from the city centre of the capital.

- Each volunteer will get 300 EUR as a food allowance for all the project period. 

- The volunteers will be responsible for cooking their meals and cleaning their own space

Travel expenses from your home country to project venue will be reimbursed after participation in the project according to the distance between your  travelling place to the volunteering venue as follows:

  • for travel distance between 0 and 99 km: 23 EUR / person.
  • for travel distance between 100 and 499 km: 180 EUR / person, +30 EUR extra for Green travel.
  • for travel distance between 500 and 1999 km: 275 EUR / person, +45 EUR extra for Green travel.
  • for travel distance between 2000 and 2999 km: 360 EUR / person, +50 EUR extra for Green travel.
  • IMPORTANT: keep all your travel documents! Online boarding passes and tickets for reimbursements. No documents = no reimbursement!
- YouthPass Certificate will be granted for all participants at the end of the project.

The organisers will offer optional city tours to anyone who are interested, but participation is not mandatory.





Eligibility

- Young people from EU countries with visa-free to Luxembourg

- Aged between 18 - 28 (exceptions are possible)

- Able to communicate and work in English

Young people from social/cultural/language minority groups who are eager to participate in, learn from, and contribute to this project and the public performances.

Young individuals participating in educational theatre and performing arts, as well as those working with special-needs youth to promote human rights.

Young individuals who want to improve their skills as promoters of inclusive theatre.

Young individuals who are eager to share project outcomes with their organisations, communities, and nations.

Application deadline: 30 August, 2023

Arrival day: 02 October 2023

Departure day: 19 October 2023


Agenda

Activity days:  for this volunteer program the activity days will be 5 days per week, the weekend will be free to have the chance to explore the the beautiful country of Luxembourg 

Activity hours: All working days, starting at 09:00 and concluding at 17:30. During the day, participants will have a two-hour lunch break from 12:00 to 14:00, as well as two breaks at 11:00 and 16:00.
