"Volunteering Rural Fest" is a European Solidarity Corps Volunteering project for one month in the rural context of Terque, Andalusia, Spain. The program is organised and hosted by Vagamondo Organisation and co-funded by the European Solidarity Corps program.
About the Project
"Volunteering Rural Fest" brings together 18 young people from 18 to 30 years in a rural area in Spain to make a difference for the local community and for yourself. The main areas of volunteering are: Cooking, Management of local events, Restoration works, Group cleaning, Weeding areas of the village, Gardening, and wood handcraft.
The volunteers' Main tasks
- Renovation works: as cleaning city walls and repainting them, building furniture, etc.
- Local events: Support the clasijazz Foundation in the management of local music events.
- Take care of Green areas: Weeding pedestrian roads and other activities on green areas
- Cooking: Cook for yourself and for the other volunteers, share typical food from your country with the others.
- Gardening: Plant trees and other gardening activities.
IMPORTANT: Due to several unpredictable factors it may be that some of the tasks will be replaced, be ready to experience yourself in different fields.
Financial conditions
- There is no participation fee
- Each volunteer will receive a total of pocket money of 150 Euros. This is not a payment for the support given, but a flat rate refund for small expenses.
- Volunteers will be accommodated in the recently renovated hostel located in the centre of Terque village. They will lived in shared rooms with other 5 volunteers. The hostel provides showers, bathrooms, a dinning area, and a cozy area.
- Volunteers will be provided with a place for cooking and have the opportunity to cook for themselves as a group with an extra amount of 35 EUR/ Person / Week. They will live together in a hostel booked for them only.
- Volunteers will be provided with insurance that covers possible health care expenses.
- During free days volunteers can travel to nearby cities, go to the seaside or explore the surroundings
- Travel expenses from your home country to project venue will be reimbursed after participation in the project according to the distance between your travelling place to the volunteering venue as follows:
- for travel distance between 100 and 499 km: 180 EUR / person, +30 EUR extra for Green travel.
- for travel distance between 500 and 1999 km: 275 EUR / person, +45 EUR extra for Green travel.
- for travel distance between 2000 and 2999 km: 360 EUR / person, +50 EUR extra for Green travel.

- IMPORTANT: Please send your travel proposition per e-mail to the organisers and wait for their confirmation before purchasing your tickets!
- Young people aged between 18 to 30.
- You are legally resident in the European Union, Turkiye, Western Balkan countries or Georgia
