Open call for foreign citizens from all non-EU countries to apply for the annual scholarship programme by Romania through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education to study in the Romanian universities for free for the academic year 2024/2025.

About Romania Scholarship
The Romanian government offers fully funded scholarships for all non-EU citizens to study in Romania for free. The scholarship applicant can study a program in any of the following three cycles in accredited higher education institution in Romania:
Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree programmes are intended for applicants wishing to continue their education at a Romanian university as well as graduates of high school or pre-university studies from which they received a baccalaureate degree or an equivalent. The entire programme runs for a period of 3-6 years, depending on the specialisation followed and ends with a bachelor's exam;
Master's Degree: Master’s degree programmes are dedicated to university graduates, run for a period of 1 year, 1.5 years or 2 years and end with the dissertation exam;
PhD: Doctoral programmes are addressed to graduate students with Master's degree and run for a period of 3-5 years, depending on the profile of the chosen faculty and end with the presentation of a PhD thesis.
The beneficiaries of the scholarships granted by the Romanian state for Bachelor's and Master's studies will study only in Romanian language. The exception is doctoral scholarship holders, who can choose for studies in Romanian or in a foreign language set by the doctoral school.
All the scholarship holders who will study in Romanian and they don't speak Romanian will be granted a preparatory year to study Romanian.

- Foreign citizens from all non-EU countries can apply for this scholarships
- There is no age limit to apply for the Romanian scholarships
- For candidates who are applying for Bachelor's and Master's degrees, no English language are required.
Practical conditions and benefits
The scholarship is financing all the costs regarding the study and staying in Romania and includes:
- financing tuition fees;
- financing the accommodation expenses in the dormitories, through the budget of the Ministry of Education
- granting a monthly financial aid, as follows: the equivalent in ”lei” (the Romanian currency) of the amount of:
- 65 EURO, for undergraduate and the preparatory year students
- 75 EURO, for master students,
- 85 EURO, for PhD students.
