About ESC

ESC is a short for the European Solidarity Corps programme, which is the European Union Funding programme for young people wishing to engage and participate in solidarity activities in different areas. The programme finances volunteering (including humanitarian aid) and solidarity projects. It is open to individuals aged 18 to 30 (35 for humanitarian aid) and to organisations in EU and partner countries.


About Foundation IB Polska

The Internationaler Bund Polska (IB Polska) is a foundation founded in Krakow at the turn of 2004 and 2005 by the German organisation Internationaler Bund Freier Traeger der Jugend-Sozial und Bildungsarbeit e.V. based in Frankfurt am Main. The primary objectives of IB Polska are to facilitate personal development across various spheres, enable individuals to plan their futures, integrate into society, foster self-responsibility, and cultivate active citizenship, with a focus on contributing to the growth of local communities and society at large. The foundation endeavours to inspire proactive engagement for the betterment of individuals and society, promoting international understanding and cooperation. Its target demographics include children, adolescents, young adults, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those facing fewer opportunities.


About the Volunteering Project

CulturALL is a long-term individual volunteering project for 10 months hosted by IB Polska for 2 international volunteers who are ready to join the foundation team starting from September 2024.  Volunteers will work in the office tasks which are focused on organising meetings, workshops, preparing posts for the website of the foundation, organising language course on your mother tongue language, and helping in the implementation of the local activities of IB Polska foundation in different locations in Krakow and Tychy.


Eligibility| Who can apply?

- This project is open for young people from European and non- European countries which part from the European Solidarity Corps programme, check the list HERE

- Open minded person and aged between 18 - 30 years old

- Have a good level in English, since it's the main language during the whole duration of the project

- International skills and knowledge about social media will be useful and helpful

- Anyone who fits with the previous conditions can apply regardless sex, religion, orientation, etc. 


Expenses and Benefits

This project is supported and funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme and includes the following:

- Accommodation in a shared flat with other volunteers rented by IB Polska foundation, this flat is furnished and have all the necessary equipments for living.

- Each volunteer receives in the beginning of each month150 EUR per month as a pocket money plus 70 EUR as a food allowance, the money will be transferred to the volunteers polish bank account.

IB Polska provides monthly cards for public transportation in the city and pay the monthly utilities for the flat.

- The program provides HENNER health insurance for all the volunteers for the whole period of the project.

Your travel costs to and from Poland will be reimbursed after the project according to the distance between your home and the project venue as the following limits:

  • for travel distance between 10 and 99 km: 23 EUR / person
  • for travel distance between 100 and 499 km: 180 EUR / person
  • for travel distance between 500 and 1999 km: 275 EUR / person
  • for travel distance between 2000 and 2999 km: 360 EUR / person
  • for travel distance between 3000 and 3999 km: 530 EUR / person

  • IMPORTANT: keep all your travel documents! Online boarding passes and tickets for reimbursements. No documents = No reimbursement!
  • IMPORTANT: Please send your travel proposition per e-mail to the organisers and wait for their confirmation before purchasing your tickets!
- Participants will receive a YouthPass certificate after the project where you are expected to self-assess your own learning and you can add it to your CV.

Training during the Activity

Throughout the volunteering project, volunteers will engage in mandatory on arrival and mid term trainings provided by the Polish National Agency, which an online Polish language course. Furthermore, IB Polska offers various additional training opportunities for volunteers.
