THE FOREST IS OUR HOME 2024 | One Month Volunteering in Portugal (Fully Funded)

About the Volunteering

This project is a summer team volunteering project in Arrouquelas, a small rural village in countryside in central Portugal. 15 volunteers from different European countries will help the host organisation in different activities of work, creation, responsibility and fellowship with the locals of Arrouquelas. The project aims to help in the conservation of the forests around the village and prevent fires.

The project will leave an impact by fostering environmental awareness and practical skills among young individuals. Through a blend of intercultural engagement, hands-on tasks like cleaning and painting, forest monitoring, educational sessions, and cultural excursions, we seek to improve the stewardship of our forests. Additionally, the project  promotes inclusivity by encouraging collaboration among participants, including refugees, fostering intercultural understanding, and strengthening ties between participants and the local community.
