Are you interested in the field of youth work and organising or designing international youth exchange? if so this is an ideal opportunity for you to join the Erasmus+ training course "Design your Youth Exchange" which is going to be from 18-24 November 2024 in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany. This call is organised by "VILLA gGmbH" organisation and co-funded by the European Union through Erasmus+ programme.

About the training course

"Design Your Youth Exchange" is a training course focused on how to successfully organise and design an international youth exchanges through the Erasmus+ Youth program. Throughout the week-long training, participants will refine their ideas, acquire essential skills, and develop a project design suitable for implementing a youth exchange.

By the end of the course, participants will have the knowledge needed to draft an application and create a project tailored to their target groups, particularly young people with fewer opportunities. The training also provides opportunities for participants to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another for mutual inspiration.


Training goals

Creation and improvement of own project designs for Youth Exchanges

Learning and deepening of knowledge about Erasmus+ (and other funding possibilities)

Getting to know (creative) international youth work methods in practice

Competence development for the integration of young people with fewer opportunities

Discussion of relevant topics for the implementation of your projects

Submission of at least 3 Youth Exchanges in the next Erasmus+ deadline (among the whole training group)


Eligibility | Who can apply?

- Participants must be over 18 years old

- You are currently living in one of the Erasmus+ Youth Programme countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye)

have at least some basic ideas to realise a youth exchange

- You are motivated to learn about the implementation possibilities of Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges

- Willing to participate in the entire program

Are supported by an organisation or informal group to realise Youth Exchanges

-  Have a good command of English language 

- Target group for this training are youth workers, group leaders, youth workers, NGO staff, other interested people working with youth and willing to design a youth exchange


Expenses and Benefits

- There is an participation fee 50 EUR for the selected participants paid in advance via bank transfer 

- Participants will be accommodated in shared double rooms in the DJH Youth Hostel wittenberg where all the participants are going to have their meals.

- Organisers also have two workrooms at their disposal in the youth hostel. 

- In addition to the two small rooms in the youth hostel, there is a large seminar room in the Martas Hotel Wittenberg, where there are no limits to the creativity. The afternoon sessions will be organised there (10 minutes walk from the hostel) 

Your travel expenses will be reimbursed up to a maximum fixed amount as following:

  • from 10 - 99 km: 23,00€ (Standard travel) 
  • from 100 - 499 km: 180,00€ (Standard travel)  / 210,00€ (Green travel)
  • from 500 - 1999 km: 275,00€ (Standard travel) / 320,00€ (Green travel)
  • from 2000 - 2999 km: 360,00€ (Standard travel) / 410,00€ (Green travel)
  • from 3000 - 3999 km: 530,00€ (Standard travel) / 610,00€ (Green travel)

- Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity.
