An interesting opportunity for youth leaders and youth workers to attend a 5 days training course in Lithuania on Mental health aiming to understand the concept of mental health and its importance in our daily lives and developing skills that help you to understand your own mental health and see how you can support youth. This training course is organised by Society and Enterprise Development Institute and funded by Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
About the training
In this training course, you will gain a clear understanding of mental health and its significance in our everyday lives. You will develop skills to better comprehend your own mental well-being and explore ways to support young people. We will also focus on how to engage, connect, and empower youth to discuss mental health openly.
Additionally, this training will focus on working with young people in emotional crisis and using artistic expression to encourage them to articulate their emotions through art and creativity.
This training will refine 4 strategic directions of activity, with which we seek changes relevant to youth and
society through various measures, programs
and initiatives:
1. Volunteering;
2. Entrepreneurship;
3. Integration;
4. Citizenship.
Training Topics
- How to recognise an emotional crisis?
- What are the methods to help a young person overcome an emotional crisis?
- How to promote a sense of self-esteem, open communication and expression of feelings in young people?
- How to create an environment of trust for young people? What are the means of artistic expression to work with young people in emotional crisis?
- How to recognise the type of emotional crisis: anxiety, stress, depression, grief, etc.?
- How to stay within the boundaries of the "omniscient expert" and not make the situation worse?
Eligibility | Who can apply?
- This training for Youth workers, Trainers, Youth leaders, Youth project managers, Youth policy makers, Volunteering mentors, Youth coaches.
- Participants are expected to be over 18 years old with no age limit
- Have a good command of English
- Ready to attend the entire period of the project.
Expenses and Benefits
- Participants will be accommodated in the Royal SPA, A four-star hotel.
- There is a cozy restaurant and bar, a SPA center with a swimming pool, whirpool baths and bathing complex, a leisure space with billiards, table tennis, a fully-equipped cinema hall, a winter garden, and a modern conference center. And all is under one roof.
- All participants in the international training will receive YouthPass certificates.
- Your travel expenses will be reimbursed up to a maximum fixed amount as following:
- from 10 - 99 km: 28,00€ (Standard travel)
- from 100 - 499 km: 211,00€ (Standard travel) / 285,00€ (Green travel)
- from 500 - 1999 km: 309,00€ (Standard travel) / 417,00€ (Green travel)
- from 2000 - 2999 km: 395,00€ (Standard travel) / 535,00€ (Green travel)
- from 3000 - 3999 km: 580,00€ (Standard travel) / 785,00€ (Green travel)
