This project is organised by "FUNDACIÓN BARUCA" and funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme of the European Union.


About the volunteering

The group of volunteers The "PROYESCOOP" project takes place in e in the heart of the Pineta Valley in the Aragonese Pyrenees. You will be part of a team of volunteering who together with you will live unforgettable experience. In addition to enjoying an incredible natural environment, you will be developing activities to benefit the community and neighbours of the area. The main activities during the project will be as following:

Landscaping and path maintenance. Contribute to enhancing the Bielsa Carnival Forest by restoring native species and assisting in the improvement of the path, ensuring it is accessible to all who wish to enjoy a unique outdoor walk.

Revitalise and restore the Barucoteca Leisure Centre, a recreational space dedicated to the youngest children in the community.

(Complementary activity): Organise intergenerational activities with the elderly in the community. These activities will be held Monday to Friday, divided into morning and afternoon sessions.

Eligibility | Who can apply?

- Young people aged between 18-30 years old.

- Applicants must be a legal residents in one of the following countries: Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Spain, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Slovenia, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Norway, Netherlands, Romania, United Kingdom, Sweden.

- Participants must have a basic knowledge in English or Spanish

An active person with initiative and motivation to learn about the intervention areas addressed in the project: childhood, youth, and environment.

Someone who wants to learn and collaborate on activities to contribute to the social integration of these target collectives. 


Expenses and Benefits

The volunteer will stay and live in a shared rural apartment in Bielsa

- Participant will receive a pocket money and food allowance to cover their personal expenses.

- Your travel costs will be reimbursed by FUNDACIÓN BARUCA after the project to your bank account

Your travel expenses will be reimbursed up to a maximum fixed amount as following:

  • from 10 - 99 km: 23,00€ (Standard travel) 
  • from 100 - 499 km: 180,00€ (Standard travel)  / 210,00€ (Green travel)
  • from 500 - 1999 km: 275,00€ (Standard travel) / 320,00€ (Green travel)
  • from 2000 - 2999 km: 360,00€ (Standard travel) / 410,00€ (Green travel)
  • from 3000 - 3999 km: 530,00€ (Standard travel) / 610,00€ (Green travel)
- Volunteers are insured through the ESC's Henner insurance scheme.

- Each participants are entitled to receive a youthpass certificate.
