Aruba ArtWeek | ESC Team Volunteering project in Aruba (Fully Funded)

An exciting opportunity for young people from the European Union countries who are interested in doing volunteer work for three weeks on the beautiful island of Aruba in the Caribbean Sea, to apply for the ESC Team Volunteering project "Aruba ArtWeek" which will be organised from the 20th of August to the 10th of September 2025. This volunteering project is organised by ArtisA in partnership with Tur Cos Ta Posibel and co-funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme of the European Union. 

About the Volunteering 

ArtWeek Aruba is a vibrant annual festival that transforms San Nicolas, the Art Capital of the Caribbean, into a dynamic space for art, culture, and community. Over three exciting weeks, the event celebrates Aruba’s cultural richness through murals, exhibitions, performances, and public art installations.

This year, ArtisA, in partnership with Tur Cos Ta Posibel, is inviting volunteers to join them behind the scenes and help make this festival a reality. Logistical setup and preparation are the primary tasks for all volunteers. The goal is to ensure everyone contributes equitably to the festival’s most pressing tasks, mainly heavy lifting, cleaning, painting, and other physical work.

Responsibilities for volunteers include:

- Assisting with painting walls, prepping mural surfaces, and organizing supplies.

- Lifting and carrying materials, setting up furniture or equipment.

- Helping with general cleaning and site preparation.

- Supporting artists and team members with basic on-site needs.

- Performing outdoor tasks and other manual labor to prepare venues and public spaces.

Eligibility | Who can apply?

- Volunteers must be between 18 and 30 years old and come from one of the following countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Poland, Romania, Ireland)

- Volunteers must be able to engage in manual labor for extended periods, including lifting, carrying, and outdoor work.

- Able to do volunteer work from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (subject to change closer to the event).

- Expect tropical heat, wear breathable, comfortable clothing (e.g., cotton or bamboo), bring a cap, and stay hydrated.

Expenses and Benefits

- Volunteers will be accommodated in a shared community house in Pos Chiquito, near the main festival venues. Rooms are shared with 2–5 people.

- A food allowance will be provided via a bank card, covering groceries and household needs according to the ESC programme rules.

- The accommodation venue is fully equipped for self-catering and located just five minutes from the beach. Towels are provided.

- Volunteers will receive training in all aspects of the activity, along with obtaining a YOUTH PASS certificate by the end of the project, and support in creating it.

- TCTP will cover economy flights with hand luggage and transport to the project.

- A welcome dinner and a closing meal are included to celebrate the beginning and end of the volunteering experience.
