Are you interested in to be part of 3 week long conversion project this autumn ? Are you interested in environment and natural protection? If so then this is an excellent for you to join a group of 15 individuals for 3 week volunteering with "ReForm" project which is going to be from 28th of Sep. to 19th of Oct. 2024 in Manas garden, Lengyeltóti, Hungary. This volunteering project is organised by "Szatyor association" and funded by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps Programme.
About the Volunteering
Manas Garden is located in the tranquil countryside of Lengyeltoti, Hungary. It's an old holiday complex from the 1960s that stood abandoned for 10 years. Szatyor community believes Manas Garden offers a unique opportunity to provide alternative educational experience that will enable anyone to learn how to work with the planet. The group are on a mission to convert the old hotel building into an Ecoversity. Through sustainable renovation practices that rely on nature and second hand materials, we will create a functional and inspiring space for future educational projects.
The fun stuff during the project will be:
- The group will turn this outdated communal space into a functional workspace
- Participants will dive into hands-on projects that directly address local challenges and ulitize local resources
- The group will upgrade existing features of the space and build new furniture
Eligibility | Who can apply?
- Vibrant individuals aged between 18-30 years old who are a legal residents of the European Union countries a total of 15 participants.
- You're someone with curiosity and enthusiasm to learn about construction and renovation.
- Eager to get your hands dirty and contribute to the transformation of Manas.
- Individuals open to the communal experience and ready to engage in regular meetings and reflection sessions.
Expenses and Benefits
- Participants will be sleeping in 3 hotel rooms, each with their own bathroom.
- The Preparation of meals (vegetarian) will be your responsibility as a group in kitchen, where the ingredients will be provided by Manas community.
- Washing machine will also be provided.
- There is no public Wifi, so prepare your own data.
- Each participant will receive 7 Euro per day as a pocket money
- Your travel costs will be reimbursed by Szatyor association after the project to your bank account, so make sure you have a European Bank account with IBAN Number to receive your pocket money and the travel reimbursements
- Your travel expenses will be reimbursed up to a maximum fixed amount as following:
- from 10 - 99 km: 23,00€ (Standard travel)
- from 100 - 499 km: 180,00€ (Standard travel) / 210,00€ (Green travel)
- from 500 - 1999 km: 275,00€ (Standard travel) / 320,00€ (Green travel)
- from 2000 - 2999 km: 360,00€ (Standard travel) / 410,00€ (Green travel)
- from 3000 - 3999 km: 530,00€ (Standard travel) / 610,00€ (Green travel)
