About UNICEF Internship

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is offering paid internships for interns from different backgrounds and fields, theses internships lasts between six to twenty-six weeks in different countries around the world. While most of our internships are full-time, some are not. How long and how often you work in the office depends on the agreement you make with your supervisor and the project and office you are assigned to. Some internships can be carried out on a part-time basis, or even remotely. 


Eligibility | Who can apply?

- All nationalities are eligible to apply for the UNICEF internships;

- Interns must be over 18 years old;

- Enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD programme, or have graduated within the past two years;

- Having proficiency in at least one of the following languages (English, French, or Spanish), the language of the working office  may also be required;

Have no current relatives (e.g., mother, father, sister, brother) working with UNICEF, or any other relatives in your reporting line of authority;

- Interns must show high academic performance and motivation;

- Any professional experience regarding the internship field will be considered.


Expenses and Benefits

- UNICEF provides monthly stipend for the interns to cover their personal expenses and the accommodation.

When funding is available, a one-time lump sum may be provided to help cover travel and visa expenses.

The Internship Programme offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain direct practical work experience.

Internships can be on a full-time or a part-time basis.

If you need a visa, UNICEF will provide relevant supporting documents for our visa applications.
