An exciting program for young people from across Europe to be a Young Energy Ambassador at the European Sustainable Energy Week 2025 which will take place in Brussels, Belgium and online from 10-12 June 2025. The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the biggest annual event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. It is organised by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and the Directorate-General for Energy.
About EUSEW 2025 Young Ambassadors Program
Launched in 2023, the Young Energy Ambassadors Program highlights the European Commission’s commitment to involving the younger generation in conversations about a clean, competitive, and fair energy transition. The program aims to:
- Increase youth participation in European policymaking on sustainable energy.
- Enhance young people's engagement and impact in the clean energy sector.
- Acknowledge and reward contributions to the energy transition.
Each year, around 30 young individuals from across Europe are chosen through an open call for applications to serve a one-year mandate as Young Energy Ambassadors. The program is open to all motivated young people involved in the energy sector—whether through studies, volunteering, professional work, or personal initiatives.
The 2025 Ambassadorship program will run from April 2025 to June 2026. Ambassadors will take part in the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) from June 10–12, 2025, in Brussels, with expenses covered**. Throughout their mandate, they will also engage in policy dialogues, webinars, outreach initiatives, and a mentorship scheme.
