An open call for young people from EU countries who are interested in street art, interculturality and volunteering to apply for "PASTE UP FESTIVAL VOL.5" project which will take place in Naples, Italy from 2nd to 17th of April 2025. The project will bring together 20 volunteers to help in organising the activities before and during the festival. The project is organised by Giosef Torino - Marti Gianello Guida APS (Lead and Supporting) in collaboration with Ets Twoplustwo and funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme of the European Union.
About the volunteering
Giosef Torino and Twoplustwo are looking for 20 volunteers to help out with the Paste Up festival Vol.5. The festival is mainly dedicated to poster art and stickers, assembling from small to big artworks from all around the world. Volunteers will help with the organization of the festival (before and during) and communication activities (content creation, promotion, live streams). Volunteers will be assisted by local street artists and will help with the actual paste up.
Project Goals
- Promote artistic, cultural and educational practices tailored to the needs of local youth and the community;
- Promote solidarity, diversity and interculturality;
- Empower volunteers with new skills and attitudes through non-formal education and informal learning;
- Encourage the entrepreneurial, creative and proactive attitude of volunteers;
- Raise awareness among the community and local organisations of the need to foster a sense of belonging and community spirit;
- Promote European social values, including solidarity;
- Promote local community participation in volunteering activities.
Eligibility | Who can apply?
- Youngsters (preferably with fewer opportunities) between 18 and 30 years old from EU Countries;
- Interested in street art and community-building projects;
- Motivated to support organisational, communication and logistics activities of the festival;
- With little or no experience in volunteering activities promoted by ESC (or previous EVS);
- Open to communicate and ready to socially connect with peers and locals;
- Aware of their role and to be able to participate in all phases of the volunteer activity in which they will be involved;
- Interested in contributing to volunteer activities that are oriented towards priorities and values of the European Union.
Expenses and Benefits
- Volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms in shared equipped rented apartments with other volunteers from different countries.
- Apartments are located in Naples close to shops, restaurants, pharmacies, markets, bus stations, parks, etc.
- Each volunteers will have a metro tickets to reach the Twoplustwo headquarters in San Giorgio a Cremano and organise the transport for the festival
- Each volunteer will receive 104€ as food money and 6€/day for pocket money (for a total of 200€).
- Travel cost reimbursement (one return journey) up to the maximum cost as stated in the ESC programme rules according to the following limits;
- from 10 - 99 km: 28,00€ (Standard travel) / 56,00€ (Green travel)
- from 100 - 499 km: 211,00€ (Standard travel) / 285,00€ (Green travel)
- from 500 - 1999 km: 309,00€ (Standard travel) / 417€ (Green travel)
- from 2000 - 2999 km: 396,00€ (Standard travel) / 535€ (Green travel)
