On the path to solidarity: from local traditions to ICL is a project organized by TDM 2000 Organization to create a Volunteering Team that can support the implementation of a big event that is happening in Sardinia during the summer.
Description
This project wants to create a Volunteering Team that can support the implementation of a big event that is happening in Sardinia ( an island in Mediterranean sea ) during the summer, with the objectives of promoting local traditions and culture, intercultural dialogue and understanding. 10 volunteers from Europe and 10 volunteers from Italy, The event known as "International Summer Week" Is taking place since more than 20 years and aims at gathering in a non formal and informal environment, youth and youth workers coming from around 40 countries all over the world for a week through Sardinia. Every year it counts around 150 participants. The volunteers will take service for 30 days and will cooperate in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of the event, supporting internal and external communication, logistics, dissemination, engagement of participants and facilitation of dedicated activities, besides its evaluation.

The project funded by European Commission
- European Commission covers part of travel costs (depending on the distance between Sardinia and the country of the participant).
- It covers food, accommodation and guarantees a monthly pocket money.
- It also covers international medical insurance.

Requirements
- Age limit : 18 - 30 years
- You have a volunteer attitude connected to the ESC program.
- You have motivation to participate and propensity to cooperate and to learn.
- Be interested in intercultural dialogue.
- You have other experiences in the volunteer field.
- No special competences required.
