If you are interested in facilitating and supporting accelerated learning and promoting cooperation among young workers and youth leaders in European societies, this training is for you. This project will be hosted at Southern Lights Farm in Greece. Erasmus Plus is co-financing this project with significant support from the Greek National Agency.
About Training
Rural Regenerative Local Solutions is a 15 day internship at Southern Lights Farm which is located 5 km west of Skala in Lakonia, South Peloponnese, Greece. This training aims to engage in support of accelerated learning and foster collaboration between youth workers and youth leaders with the aim of building capacity, improving participants' skills, providing valuable knowledge to all participating youth and partner organisations, as well as strengthening the environmental enterprise community in Europe.this training will host 35 youth workers and leaders from 7 different countries, 10 of whom with fewer opportunities, working in the sectors of ecological and social regeneration.
About Southern Lights Farm
Southern Lights Farm is located in a food forest that currently contains more than 80 fruit trees in addition to different shrubs and herbaceous plants.. This botanical garden will be the food source during the various workshops in this training. You will get used to a healthy diet throughout the training period.
Finance and Benefits
- Travel Expenses To and From Peloponnese, Greece will be Covered depends on your country as follows:
France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium is 360 euro
Italy is 320 euro
Malta is 275 euro
Greece is 210 euro
- There will be a bus which take participants from Athens Airport to the farm at 6:00 pm. Otherwise you can use public transport to reach the venue.
- For the travel back the bus will leave farm at 6:00 am in the morning and arrive latest 10:00 am at the airport. So make sure you don´t book a flight that departs earlier than 11:30 am.
- Free accommodation, you will be sleeping in your tents inside the food forest.
- There is a kitchen to cook daily meals, which are healthy, mostly organic and self grown and vegan.
- You can use Compost toilets and outdoor showers.
- The forest provides many spaces for the daily activities.
- There is some internet access on the farm, close to the house.
- Every participant will receive a Youthpass certificate at the end as well as a certificate issued by The Southern Lights for participating in this course.
What to bring?
- Sleeping bag
- Camping mattress and pillow or anything you need for being comfortable sleeping on the ground in a tent.
- Towel for shower and 3 small towels for the compost toilet.
- Notebook, pen, water bottle and good shoes for land works.
- Toiletries and mosquito spray or protection if you need.
- Camera with cable to share pictures.
- bring any material you need in order to implement the activities you want to share during the course, some games, dances, songs and stories to share.

- This training for youth workers from Greece, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Italy and Malta.
- No age limit.
Duration
A total of 15 days from 22/04/2022 to 6/05/2022 ( first and last are travel days)
