An excellent opportunity to participate in the Experiential Learning Festival project in Romania, a voluntary project that brings together young people from all over Europe to make a difference in rural society through a range of formal education activities. The program will host two teams, the first team 18 volunteers for 8 weeks and the second team for 5 weeks in HarjaBacau County, Romania. This project organised by Family Breast Association with co-funded by European Commission.

About the project

ELF - teams volunteering project is the activity that had the most impact with in the community, so far. In 2019 they organised the first edition of the Experiential learning festival, as part of the project, and it's been a success, while all the other activities.

the activities that will be organised by host organisation are linked and meant to go forward from where we left those off in June 2021.

- Youth Educational summer camps for 7-10 in the area of Harja and casin on topics like environment, digitalisation, EU values, art, professional and personal development for youth.

-  Experiential Learning Festival in the area of Harja, dedicated to educators and learners of all ages.

- NEF activities in the village and municipalities nearby to promote volunteering, experiential learning, diversity and solidarity.

-  Ecological campaign to raise awareness in the community and nearby areas 

- Intercultural workshops and activities to cultivate the knowledge of Inclusion.


What will you learn?

- Digital and Social media skills , involvement of online communities, creation of promotional materials.

- Practice with Non Formal Education tools and methods.

- Planning, strategizing and testing to carry out educational activities using NFE.

- Self- reflection and observation carried out through mentoring.

- Experience life in the countryside and understanding how to become supporters of a sustainable lifestyle and zero waste.

- Boosting yourself confidence as a result of accomplishing the goals.

- Using creativity through art in order to convey message of solidarity.

- Discovering and mapping a set of personal talents, strengths and personal purpose.


Eligibility

- Your age between 18 - 30 years old.

- You are a resident in European Union country or European country.

- You are English Speaker.

- Have a willing to gain new skills and work in a team.

- You are excited to organise ELF Festival.

- Have a willing to get involved in Communities, talk to new people and make new friends.

- Have a wiling to spend time in the rural area and travelling around.


Benefits and Finance

- Your flights to and from Romania will be covered, the European Commission is encouraging all of us, participating in European mobilities, to use land transportation where is possible to avoid a higher degree of pollution by flying.

Plane to Bucharest or Bacau airports, and a shuttle bus that takes you to Onesti- Harja.

- The accommodation is going to be in beautiful  rural area of Oituz, in the foothills of the Eastern Romanian Carpathians in HARJA.

- You will be accommodated in village houses with 3-5 people in the room and fully equipped yurts with beds and electricity.

- Access to Kitchen, bathroom, hot and cold water.

- Food and Pocket money.


Timeline

First group will start volunteering from 17th of June to 16th of August

Second group will start Volunteering from 24th of August to 30th of September.
