About Youth Camp Maldives
Youth Camp Maldives is a four-day international youth camp that brings together young people from different backgrounds and focuses on global issues like combating climate change, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, educational tourism, cultural exchange, team-building, public policy, leadership skills, and multiculturalism. Participants develop their critical thinking skills while exploring prospects for employment with the UK main office and exchanging creative ideas.
Daily Plan
Day 1: Arrival & Orientation
Morning to Afternoon: Delegates arrive at the venue hotel, registration, event merchandise distribution, & room assignments.
Afternoon to Evening: Ice-breaking activities for delegates introductions, keynote speeches by the executive, keynote speeches on the importance of UN SDGs, Panel Discussions, Team-building activities
Day 2: Cultural Parade, Workshops & Discussions
Morning to Afternoon: Workshop on Climate Action: Understanding climate change, its global impact, and the role of youth in addressing it, Cultural Parade, Group discussions on climate action projects & solutions, Lunch break.
Afternoon to Evening: Workshop on Public Policy: Introduction to public policy, its significance in achieving SDGs, & a simulated policy-making activity, Group discussions on policy proposals, Leadership development workshop: Building leadership skills and qualities, Panel discussion, Certification Ceremony, Group Photos
Day 3: Water Sports, Tour, Farewell Party
Morning to Afternoon: Water Sport Activities, Swimming, Sandbank Tour, Photography.
Evening: Farewell Celebrations
Day 4: Farewell Breakfast & Check-out
Eligibility
- All countries are eligible to apply
- Individuals from diverse backgrounds, including students, professionals, social workers, health care practitioners, volunteers, and aspiring young leaders, are encouraged to submit their applications.
- There is no age limit to apply for Youth Camp Maldives 2023
- You need to have valid passport to apply for the project.
- There is application fee £16.75 ( the application fee is mandatory to apply and it's not refundable under any circumstance)
Note: All nationalities can go to Maldives without Visa, you can get on-arrival visa in Maldives for free.
