Erasmus+ Training course "NurishNest" in Otepää, Estonia (Funded)

Open call for 24 participants to join the training course "NurishNest" - creating supportive and nourishing spaces for young individuals. NurishNest is a 6-day training program to enhance the capacity of youth workers in creating peaceful, inclusive, and nourishing environments.  This program is hosted by VitaTiim and co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme.

About the training 

"NurishNest" is a 6-day training program for youth workers, educators, and change makers. The main aim of the training is to increase youth workers ability in creating peaceful, inclusive, and nourishing environments through trauma-informed approaches, mindfulness techniques, and embodiment practices. 

The training merges experiential learning and study visits, aiming to go deeply into understanding of diverse experiences and promote holistic well-being for all young individuals, especially those with fewer opportunities from marginalised groups.

During the 6-day program, participants will take part in a combination of interactive workshops, discussions, practical practices, and reflective activities. The training will provide a comprehensive approach to empower youth workers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to promote peacemaking, embodiment, trauma awareness, and non-violent communication in their work with young people. Participants will have a chance to host their own workshop within the project.


Project outcomes

Provide participants with skills to create and sustain nurturing environments that support the growth and well-being of young people.

- Expand perspectives on various experiences, fostering deep empathy and understanding. 

- Develop proficiency in mindfulness and embodiment practices for personal and professional resilience.

- Learn to create trauma-informed, welcoming environments for young people from a variety of backgrounds, especially those who are marginalised.

- Develop your communication skills for peaceful dialogue and resolution of conflicts.

Apply comprehensive techniques to promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being in youth work. 


Eligibility 

This training is designed for Youth workers, youth leaders, facilitators, community leaders, educators, Those who support humans in their development, and change makers.

- Participants should be from the EU countries + Iceland, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Turkey;

- Participants must be over 20 years of age;

Participants need to have a sending organisation with OID code;

- Participants should be able to communicate English language, since it is the working language in the training. 


Practical conditions

Expenses regarding travel, accommodation and food are covered within Erasmus+ programme.

Participation fee is 50-100 EUR. Exact amount you may decide on your own. For Ukrainian participants it is possible to reduce participation fee by request.

- Participants will stay at the Metsalagendik in Otepää, Estonia in rooms for 2-4 people each.

- The organisers will provide 3 meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and two coffee breaks with snacks according to your food preferences and allergies.

According to Erasmus+ program rules, there are limits for the travel reimbursements depends on the direct distance between your place and the project venue as follows:

for travel distance between 100 and 499 km: 180 EUR / person

for travel distance between 500 and 1999 km: 275 EUR / person

for travel distance between 2000 and 2999 km: 360 EUR / person

for travel distance between 3000 and 3999 km: 530 EUR / person

What to Bring?

- Health insurance, preferable EHIC

- Comfortable cloth for outside, inside, including sleepers

- Comfortable cloth for morning practices

- Cloth for Sauna

- Windproof and waterproof cloth

- Personal hygiene products (toothbrush, toothpaste)

- Medication (anti-allergy pills, pain killers, aspirin etc). if you need

- Other items that you personally consider necessary to carry with

- Smiles, lots of positive energy and motivation
