Youth Istanbul Project 2024 in Istanbul, Turkiye (Partially Funded)

Open call for students and recent graduates from all around the world to join Youth Istanbul Project 2024 for 8 days in Istanbul, Türkiye. YIP 2024 will be organised the fifth time by the members of the Marmara Law Association.

About Istanbul

Istanbul is located in the northwest of the Marmara region in Türkiye, and it is divided into two parts separated by the Bosphorus Strait, which makes the city located on two continents at one time: Europe and Asia. It is the largest city in Türkiye and the seventh largest city in the world in terms of population, with a population of about 15 million people. Istanbul contains many wonderful tourist places, including: Sultan ahmet District, Hagia Sophia Mosque, Dolmabahce Palace, Galata Tower, Bosphorus Strait, Topkapi Palace and Suleymaniye Mosque. 

About Marmara Law Association

The founding phase of Marmara Law Association was completed in December 2014. The basic principles of Marmara Law Association are teamwork, dignity and development. The first activities of the association were to set up a computer class in Soma (Manisa, Türkiye), at Namek Kemal Primary School which was damaged by a major mining accident, and to hold a seminar on the legal dimension of mining accidents. MLA's first international project was Youth Istanbul'18. It was held in April of 2018. Marmara Law Society has been working on the basis of exemplary law education and global agenda since its foundation.

About Youth Istanbul project 2024

Youth Istanbul Project will be organised for the fifth time in Türkiye for 8 days. YIP 2024 gives the opportunity to get to know about economical, academic and cultural life in Istanbul to the participants. The participants will also have an opportunity to step into the global world and the professional arena.

With corporate visits, Participants will have a chance of making an acquaintance with the business's which are taking an important position in Türkiye’s business life and economics. At the same time with the cultural trips which will be arranged in two parts for each continent, participants will meet Istanbul’s historical and mystic character.

Participants will make international friends as they attend social events which will be held by Youth Istanbul Organization Team and they will get to observe the basis of Turkish culture as they stay with their hosts.

About YIP 24 Workshop

The academic part of the Youth Istanbul Project will be a workshop which will be organised by Youth Istanbul Case Team. In an international scale there are many companies have an impact on our daily lives variety of topics including the media, technology and environment. We believe that the operations of companies and their legal aspects is worth studying on, in an increasingly globalised world. Therefore, the YIP’24 will be within the theme of “Law and Business”.

This year participants will have the opportunity to work on different and innovative topics including but not limited to, entrepreneurship, transparency, sustainability and management. Participants will not only spend their time listening to guest lecturers but also participate in the workshops and present their ideas and issues to their home country.

Eligibility  and Criteria for Youth Istanbul Project

- This Project is for students and recent graduates from all around the world.

- Your age should be between 18-27 years to apply.

- It is not required to have a degree or have current studies in law school or social studies to apply.

- If you live in Türkiye currently, you can't apply.

Financial conditions for YIP 2024

- There is no any participation fee.

- Participants will be hosted by hosts families, Hosts shall provide a clean and comfortable room with access to free wifi for the participants.

- The participants will have free access to the kitchen at their host’s places.

- Free breakfast and special discounts for dinners.

- A part of transportation in Istanbul.

- Free City Tours and Corporate Visits.

- Airport Pick up Starter Pack.

- Travel costs and travel insurance from your country to Istanbul are all yours.
