HUMUS | ESC Teams Volunteering project in Bulgaria (Fully Funded)

About the Volunteering

"HUMUS" is a 4-week ESC team volunteering project for 15 participants from all the ESC program countries. This project focuses on three objectives: inclusion, emotional wellbeing and mental health and sustainability. "HUMUS" is one of three volunteering project will be hosted by Synergy Bulgaria at Synergy house this summer where volunteers will explore new methods to enhance their mental well-being through three pillars: hands-on work, community living, connecting with locals and personal mark.

- Hands-on work: Here the focus lies on the improvement of the place you’re going to stay at. In a nutshell, we’re rebuilding a summer house and turning it into an educational learning centre where we want volunteering projects and youth exchanges to happen.

- Community living: A big part and beauty of this volunteering is about living together with people from all over Europe and building your own community: creating rules, activities, agreements and fun.

- Connecting with locals & personal Mark: Everyone is encouraged to leave their personal mark. You can develop your own initiative: a DIY project, workshops & master- classes from cooking to yoga to creativity, a digital diary or documentary. We also encourage our volunteers to organise activities with and for the local community of Dzhurovo, this can be raising awareness for climate action with events targeting sustainable consumption or recycling or about any other topic of your choice, it’s literally up to you, and you’re the creator of your own & team volunteering experience! Here, the sky’s the limit.
