Open call for youth workers and youth activists from all over Europe and the neighbouring countries to the EU to join the European Digital Youth Summit 2024 #EDYS24 in Bucharest, Romania.This seminar is organised by GEYC - Group of the European Youth for Change and co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
About EDYS24
The European Digital Youth Summit 24 is a one week seminar aiming to bring 100 youths and stakeholders, in order to facilitate a meaningful dialogue around youth participation and empower youths to have their say in creating a positive change in their communities. The seminar will act as a platform for sharing successful methods among youth workers, educators, and young people to boost youth engagement in three key areas: environmental, social, and digital. It will feature thematic workshops, study visits, and a one-day summit.
Eligibility | Who can apply?
- This seminar is open for approx. 100 participants from the following countries (- Austria, Belgium - DE, Belgium - FL, Belgium - FR, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Palestine, Russian Federation, Syria, Tunisia, Ukraine)
- Participants must be a young people aged between 18-30 years and looking for being more active in their own communities.
- Have a strong motivation towards the objective of enhancing youth participation and the three focus directions (digital, green, social)
- Have a good level of English
- Able to share good practices and examples of youth participation initiatives
- Able to do the dissemination activities during and after the project.
- Participants with fewer opportunities (economic difficulties , geographical obstacles, migrants, etc) will have priority in the selection process.
Expenses and Benefits
- Participants will be accommodated in twin or triple shared rooms at yesterday hotel in Bucharest, Romania.
- The hotel serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee break included. Towels, toiletries included.
- Travel costs from your country of residence to Bucharest will be reimbursed within 2 months after the seminar
- according to the following limits:
- for travel distance between 100 and 499 km: 180 EUR / person, +30 EUR extra for Green travel.
- for travel distance between 500 and 1999 km: 275 EUR / person, +45 EUR extra for Green travel.
- for travel distance between 2000 and 2999 km: 360 EUR / person, +50 EUR extra for Green travel.

- IMPORTANT: Please send your travel proposition per e-mail to the organisers and wait for their confirmation before purchasing your tickets!
- Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity.
