An exciting opportunity for 50 participants from EU countries to join the EIGE Gender Equality Forum 2024: Make your voice heard!. Participants can join online or on-site in Brussels to engage in discussions on the future of gender equality in the EU until 2030. the European Institute for Gender Equality will cover the costs of up to 50 youth participants to attend the Forum in person in Belgium.
About the EIGE Gender Equality Forum
The Gender Equality Forum is an engaging event aimed at uniting people to talk about important gender equality issues in the EU. It occurs at a crucial moment, following the European Parliament elections and the likely installation of a new Commission. We need to communicate a clear message to the new EU leaders to ensure that gender equality keeps advancing throughout the EU.
The Gender Equality Forum wants to give you, young people of Europe, the opportunity to have a say in this. Discussions at the Forum will be based around two thematic strands:
- Taking stock of gender equality in Europe: now and beyond 2025.
- Tackling gender-based violence in the EU involves addressing both ongoing and new challenges.
What’s in EIGE forum 2024 for you?
- You'll have the opportunity to exchange your original ideas with prominent representatives and experts in gender equality, along with your peers.
- Making a difference starts by debating ideas and exchanging experiences and different perspectives.
Eligibility | Who can apply?
This call is designed for young people who are:
- Aged between 18-30 years (at the time of the application)
- You are dedicated to gender equality as a fundamental principle of the European Union.
- motivated to participate actively in the different sessions of the Forum.
- Able to express yourself comfortably in English.
- Based in one of the 27 European countries.
- Ready to attend the entire duration of the forum (10 and 12 December)
Expenses and Benefits
- The travel costs, accommodation, and daily allowance will be provided by European Institute for Gender Equality for participants from outside Brussels.
- Accommodation will be provided in a hotel in Brussels, close to the event location, Lunch will be provided at the event venue.
